Very soon, 2015's most sharply dressed evil deity, Bughuul, will haunt the homes of fans everywhere when Sinister 2 arrives on Blu-Ray and DVD. The movie will first arrive on Digital HD on December 22 (just in time for Christmas morning!) before making its way to Blu-Ray and DVD formats on January 12.
In less than three weeks, fans will bear witness to the second annual two-part crossover event of The Flash and Arrow. Not only will said event once again unite our favorite prime time heroes, it will introduce Hawkman and Vandal Savage, acting as a backdoor pilot of sorts for the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow. If the official synopses are any indication of what's to come, this crossover sounds like a comic book fan's dream come true.
The first promo has been released for next week's brand new episode of Supernatural, the amusingly titled "Plush." I feel that it really is worth a viewing or two because it somewhat harkens back to the earlier years of the show when each new trailer was tailored for that specific episode, making it look like a unique horror movie. This is not entirely in that vein, but fans of the show will certainly be able to see why I drew that parallel. I was actually thinking about that recently and it is something I really miss.
The CW has released an extended promo video for next week's brand new episode of The Flash, "Gorilla Warfare." Sharp minded fans likely do not even need to see a second of footage to discern that this episode will feature the return of everyone's favorite telepathic primate, Grodd. Not only that, he adheres to the tradition started by the great cinematic apes that preceded him and kidnaps a beautiful young lady in Caitlin.
The CW has released an extended promo video for next week's brand new episode of iZombie, "Abra Cadaver." As the title suggests, illusion is a central theme of this episode, seeing as how Liv and Babineaux will be investigating the murder of a magician. Upon consuming said magician's brains, Liv will apply her temporarily granted skills to the investigation. The trailer focuses very little on this aspect and instead chooses to go the route of showing how Major is now trying to acclimate to her brain food induced mood swings.
Batman: Bad Blood, the next animated DC movie, finally has a release date. It will first be available via Digital HD on January 19, 2016 and will later arrive on Blu-Ray and DVD on February 2. This film continues the story started in Son of Batman and Batman vs. Robin and will see how the Bat-Family and Gotham City as a whole react to the disappearance of Batman (Jason O'Mara), leading to Dick Grayson/ Nightwing assuming the mantle of The Dark Knight. Quite honestly, I have been waiting years for a movie like this.
In what has to be one of the most interesting pieces of casting news this reporter has seen in recent memory, singer/ actress Mariah Carey (Glitter) is reportedly in talks to voice Commissioner Jim Gordon in The Lego Batman Movie. Now that you have checked your calendar to make sure today is not April 1st, you can come to the realization that she is now in the company of actors such as Pat Hingle, Gary Oldman, and Ben McKenzie, all of which have inhabited the role of one of Batman's most trusted allies and confidants.
Those wondering when they can own a copy of director Josh Trank's 2015 reboot of Fantastic Four need no longer wait for a release date. The foursome that started the Marvel Universe, at least in the comic book medium, jumps into your living room November 20 on Digital HD before making its way to Blu-Ray and DVD formats on December 15.
The CW has released an extended look at next week's all new episode of Supernatural, "Our Little World." Fans will not want to miss this one, as it'll feature the return of Metatron, or Marv, if you prefer. Castiel begrudgingly asks him to assist in the battle with the Darkness, a decision he probably didn't make lightly. Viewers have no doubt forgotten what Metatron has put our favorite trenchcoat wearing angel through during the course of the past few seasons.
The CW has released an extended promo for next week's all new episode of iZombie, "Max Wager." This episode sees Liv inherit the traits of a degenerate gambler as she investigates his murder. You may recall that executive producer Rob Thomas recently teased that little detail, and now we'll finally see it become reality.
