If you've been on social media lately, then you've probably seen your friends politely asking that none of us spoil Avengers: Endgame. Though I'm reasonably certain the gloves will come off by Monday morning, there's a good chance a fair amount of folks will comply. Still, there's no law saying you can't get creative by posting statuses saying Harry Potter dies at the end.
In just a few hours, the five-year journey that's been Gotham will have finally come to an end. With the "No Man's Land" story arc now being behind us, the series will jump forward by ten years in order to show the Batman its version of Bruce Wayne ultimately becomes. Not only that, but we'll also see more fully developed iterations of the Riddler, Penguin and Joker.
When James Gunn was first revealed to helm The Suicide Squad for Warner Bros. and DC, I think each of us were surprised to some degree. I mean, even though actors often go back and forth between Marvel and DC brands, it did raise eyebrows once it was confirmed that the guy who directed two Guardians of the Galaxy pictures will be charting Task Force X's next mission.
Despite devout True Believers and casual moviegoers going into Avengers: Endgame knowing full well that the flick clocks in at three hours in length, everybody seems to be quite fearless when it comes to holding their potty for the allotted time. Still, none of us can help that poking at the back of our minds, as I'm pretty sure that not a single one among us wants to miss out on a second of the action by having to get up and pee or, Thanos forbid, poop.
If you tuned in for the most recent episode of The Flash, then not only did you learn of the Negative Speed Force concept, but you also saw it utilized by Nora West-Allen. Not long after Eobard Thawne revealed its secrets to her, he came to regret his decision to do so because that very energy has now seemingly corrupted the young woman known as XS.
With Avengers: Endgame set to storm cinemas in a couple of days, it was expected that the upcoming blockbuster find its way to pirate sites at some point. But considering that the flick has already opened in China, it shouldn't surprise anyone that at least one person managed to bootleg it.
Considering how Batman has been continually recast since first appearing on the silver screen in 1943, it’s fair to say that not everybody agrees on which actor portrayed the Dark Knight best. In all honesty, I’m not sure if I can name one in particular any longer because most have brought something special to the role. Though if I were asked point blank, I’d say Michael Keaton, Christian Bale and Ben Affleck are among my favorites. Don’t get me wrong, I dig Adam West very much, but his interpretation is sort of in a category of its own.
When I sat down to watch last night's episode of The Flash, "Snow Pack," I had no idea of how important it'd wind up being. Not only were we introduced to the concept of the Negative Speed Force, but Nora West-Allen has gone off the deep end and will soon be siding with villains! And if that weren't enough, the Icicle succeeded into turning Caitlin Snow's mother into a metahuman before he met his end. Yeah, there was a lot to take in.
By now, I'm pretty sure you're well-acquainted with the phrase "Netflix and chill." Even though we've got some time to go until Halloween season kicks off, there's no reason why we can't indulge in the horror genre in the interim. After all, it may be one of the most popular classifications of movies to bring people together on date nights.
Maybe it's just me, but I've been kind of bummed that Colton Haynes' Roy Harper hasn't featured in any present-day scenes to date in Arrow's seventh season. Even though it's cool to see him in the flash forward segments, I can't be the only person dying to know what became of him after he left town with Thea Queen about a year ago.
