Though I'm a lover of film trivia - especially when it pertains to the superhero genre - and actually hope for a Zack Snyder cut of Justice League to one day adorn my shelf much like Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut, I'm not holding my breath waiting for it. Furthermore, I don't think it helps matters when the cult favorite director just won't stop beating the dead horse that was his original vision for the DC Extended Universe. Hey, the majority of moviegoers said "no," so Warner Bros. moved on. Let's just accept that. Oh, you can argue how Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice made almost $900 million - but the majority of that came in the first two weeks. After that, it sank like a stone.
Even though I thought last year's Venom movie left a lot to be desired, I'd definitely see a sequel. Much like how excitement surrounded seeing Eddie Brock's first solo outing on the big screen, so, too, will there likely be a lot of hype surrounding a full-on Carnage in the followup.
With all that's happened in the Arrowverse in the past few months, it seems like so long ago that we last heard from Legends of Tomorrow. It may have aired its midseason finale back in December, sure, but each of its sister series' developments could make it somewhat hard for some to remember where the show left off.
If you've been keeping up with the current season of Arrow, then you're well aware of how Emiko's been running around while wearing the very same costume donned by Oliver Queen in the previous two years. Granted, it made sense for her to borrow the look while he was in prison, but he didn't change his attire once he was released. The only difference is that he now wears his hood down and has jettisoned the domino mask.
Even though last night's episode of The Flash, "Time Bomb," ultimately proved to be more about Cicada II, it did, in fact, see Nora West-Allen's secret come out before the credits rolled. But as luck would have it, Sherloque Wells beat her to the punch and revealed everything to the STAR Labs crew. As a result, Barry immediately lost trust in his daughter and sealed her in a containment cell.
The remake of Resident Evil 2 may have been released nearly two months ago, but we’re already losing count of how many mods are out there. Though some have made the game all the more terrifying and challenging (ten Mr. X Tyrants, anyone?), others can make you laugh your ass off (“Beachboy” Mr. X is a fine example of just that).
I think it's safe to say that we were all surprised by how last week's episode of The Flash concluded. Well, Cicada's decision to take the metahuman cure wasn't the biggest of shockers, but the swift arrival of his successor certainly was. And if that weren't enough, we learned her identity to be that of his niece, Grace Gibbons, somehow aged to adulthood.
Even though Trigon's arc will have to be wrapped up during the first few episodes of Titans' second season, rest assured that a new big bad will arrive swiftly thereafter. Amazingly enough, it'll be a quintessential Teen Titans villain, Deathstroke, as the series will adapt the classic Judas Contract story arc from the comic books.
When it was announced last spring that Colton Haynes would be returning to Arrow as a series regular, it's fair to assume that fans around the globe let out a small cheer upon reading the news. After all, not only is Roy Harper a beloved comic book character, but viewers really took to Haynes' rendition of him.
At this point in time, it may be fair to say that Arrow season 7's true big bad is that of Dante. After being built up as a whisper on the lips of ARGUS and Ricardo Diaz for months, we finally met the international terrorist and banker during his most recent trip to Star City. And before that particular episode concluded, viewers learned that he's in collusion with Emiko Queen.
