We're The Millers. It's a new spin on that age old dilemma. What is the best way to bring a truckload of marijuana into the country without getting caught? Reuniting Horrible Bosses’ Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis, We’re The Millers follows Sudeikis’ David Burke. His highfalutin boss gives him an ultimatum. Either go down to Mexico and drag back a haul of pot, or get thrown to the sharks. Literally. Certain that he’ll appear suspicious to border officials, Burke drags in a motley crew of strangers to act as a fake family. Loading up the RV, they head south to save Burke’s buns.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt's directorial debut, Don Jon, blazed into Sundance all set to make a heart breaker out of its director. What it did was snag shocked gasps from the press who deemed the film too graphic for its depiction of on screen porn. It has since been re-edited following a tussle with the MPAA who were ready to slap the film with an NC-17 certificate. Judging from this first trailer, the presence of porn seems...well, rather necessary.
Warner Bros. have released the final trailer for Zack Snyder's Man Of Steel - and it's all about Zod. The marketing machine behind the upcoming Superman reboot has ensured that every angle of the film is covered. By the looks of it, Warner are hoping to snare every type of filmgoer by unleashing a variety of trailers and TV spots. You'll have noticed Henry Cavill's visage adorning countless posters, bus shelters and hipster tote bags (Err...probably).
Neil Jordan's Byzantium is this year's answer to the histrionic vampire craze which Twilight essentially castrated. Don't expect twee mutterings between teenagers. Or a shirtless werewolf to mark out the third prong of a love triangle. This latest full-length US trailer takes a bite straight out of cinema's varicose veins. Kickstarting a tired premise, it's a delight to see a glimpse at Jordan's newest take on vamps.
There were probably legions of LeBeouf’s fans crying into their Lucky Charms after learning that we won’t see him getting his end away in Lars Von Trier’s Nymphomaniac. Then there’s the rest of us, who breathed a sign of relief.
Two months have passed since the first set of trailers for The Wolverine landed. Those initial glimpses at Wolvie battling his way to mortality were followed up in April with an extended battle reel from Comic-Con. In preparation for a theatrical release this summer the next trailer has been posted online.
Who ate all the pies? Not Jennifer Lawrence, that's for damn sure. Bryan Singer, the guy who is single-handedly putting set photographers out of work, has taken to Twitter once more. Delivering another production photo from his latest film, X-Men: Days Of Future Past, today we've got our first look at Mystique.
What Hollywood knows better than anyone, is that truth is not only stranger than fiction but it also has the potential for adaptation. The latest real-life human tragedy ready for cinema treatment is that of the Chilean mining disaster back in 2010. The incident which trapped 33 Chilean miners underground for 69 days obviously attracted attention as human suffering makes for compelling viewing. Aptly titled, The 33, Antonio Banderas and Martin Sheen have signed on to star as two of the miners.
The power of Cannes has brought another tidbit of casting news. The mafia flick which has been gestating for years, Gotti, now has Anthony Hopkins attached. Hopkins will join John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston, both already confirmed to star. Hopkins' role is as-yet undisclosed, though our guess is he'll be in the running for an old school mobster. Expect him to hone his vocal skills and bust out his Italian American accent!
