Stuck in development hell for years, comedy drama Honeymoon With Harry has at last been given a new lease of life. Per Deadline, New Line Cinema has brought fresh blood aboard the ten-year old property in the hopes of making production a reality. First up, the studio's roped in Crazy, Stupid, Love scribe Dan Fogelman to punch up the script and is expected to secure Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro in the two lead roles.
Filmmaker Neill Blomkamp stirred things up earlier in the week, by publishing unseen concept art from his previously-unheard-of Alien project. With xenomorph devotees the world over mourning the loss of a movie we'll likely never see, you can't deny the fact that when Blomkamp's interested - he throws himself all in. With that in mind, we can turn to a movie that is on its way - Chappie. While it doesn't include any acid-blooded extraterrestrials, it does bear more than a passing resemblance to several schlocky 80s flicks.

Before Pacific Rim was even a glint in his eye, screenwriter Travis Beacham's heart and soul went into his fantastic spec script, A Killing On Carnival Row. A supernatural steampunk mystery, it fast became one of the industry's most well-loved unproduced scripts after Beacham sold it to New Line back in 2005. Master of genre, Guillermo Del Toro stepped up to the plate in the hopes of directing it, before Neil Jordan and Tarsem Singh contemplated the same. After a while the project fell stagnant and it languished away in development limbo.

Played by a full-size Paul Rudd, the hero of this latest comic book adventure embraces Ant-Man technology to shrink to the size of an ant while simultaneously acquiring brute strength. Yanked from Marvel's hefty back catalogue, the big screen release is on everyone's lips this week following that low-key teaser debut.
