A Crop Of New Ant-Man Photos Highlight Paul Rudd And Evangeline Lilly

After watching the first teaser trailer for Marvel's Ant-Man, you might be surprised to learn that the titular character isn't actually an ant that's man-sized. After watching the first teaser trailer for Marvel’s Ant-Man, you might be surprised to learn that the titular character isn’t actually an ant that’s man-sized. As nifty a concept as that would be, the playful idea is spun the other way around. Played by a full-size Paul Rudd, the hero of this latest comic book adventure embraces Ant-Man technology to shrink to the size of an ant while simultaneously acquiring brute strength. Yanked from Marvel’s hefty back catalogue, the big screen release is on everyone’s lips this week following that low-key teaser debut.

With its release some six months away, the marketing moguls have cranked out a few choice cuts of artwork over the last week for a campaign which culminated with the trailer release. Off the back of that, EW has now unearthed a series of exclusive shots from their set visit. As mentioned, we’ve already had a good gander at the preview, but it’s still a treat to gaze at this new haul of shots.

The best of the bunch – all of which you can scroll through above – showcases Scott Lang’s alter-ego outfit dangling in the shower, adding a touch of the ordinary to a character who is far from it. The rest are a brief glimpse behind the scenes, a portrait of Ant-Man on the run and a glimpse at Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne.

Ant-Man lands in theaters on July 17th, 2015. Let us know what you make of this latest batch of images in the comments section below.

The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man.” Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

Marvel’s “Ant-Man” stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, Corey Stoll as Darren Cross aka Yellowjacket, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Michael Peña as Luis, Judy Greer as Maggie, Tip “Ti” Harris as Dave, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, Wood Harris as Gale, Jordi Mollà as Castillo and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym.
