Melania Trump is preparing to launch a new docuseries that promises to offer a much more personal look at her life than her previous film, The Hill reported. The project is expected to arrive later this year, with a likely release window in November.
During a Wednesday appearance on Fox and Friends, Trump explained that this upcoming project feels distinct from her earlier eponymous documentary. She noted that the structure is focused on direct interaction rather than just observation. “It’s more conversation, one-on-one with me,” Trump said during the interview.
She also mentioned that the filming process allowed for a level of depth that viewers haven’t seen yet. “When I was traveling and doing all of the filming, the director was asking me questions, and there are some private questions that I will answer that people never heard before,” she added.
This new series follows the release of the documentary titled Melania, which premiered in theaters earlier this year
That film, directed by Brett Ratner, provided a behind-the-scenes look at the 20 days leading up to the 2025 presidential inauguration. It was produced by Amazon MGM Studios with a budget that included a $35 million marketing push. At the world premiere held at the Kennedy Center in January, Trump shared that the cameras captured her movements day and night for that specific feature.
In August, Ratner posted on Instagram that he couldn’t “wait to share with everyone around the world the next two chapters of Melania, the docuseries!” Trump confirmed during her Wednesday interview that the series will indeed consist of two installments.
She seems genuinely enthusiastic about this shift in format, remarking, “It’s kind of exciting.” She also emphasized that the content will be a departure from what audiences already saw, stating, “It will come out this year, and it will be very different [than] what is in the movie.”
The 56-year-old author has been busy in New York this week for the United Nations General Assembly. Her schedule includes work on her Fostering the Future Together initiative and the launch of Imperia, a new effort designed to promote leadership and economic power for women.
Between these professional commitments, she took a moment to share her thoughts on President Trump’s recent address at the United Nations. During his speech, the President focused on defending the U.S. war with Iran and emphasized that he is not going to stifle growth regarding artificial intelligence.
Melania offered a positive review of his performance during the event. “I told him he had great delivery, he did very well, and a great speech,” she said. She also highlighted the dynamic of their relationship when it comes to feedback. “I tell him the truth,” she noted. “Sometimes he doesn’t want to hear it, what I tell him, but that’s OK. I always say the truth.”
