Gorilla Grodd Will Appear On The Flash Series
Those of you in attendance at San Diego Comic-Con this week were given a few chances to watch the pilot episode for the CW's upcoming Arrow spin-off, The Flash, and probably noticed a fun little Easter egg pointing to one of the scarlet speedster's most notorious and outlandish super-villains, Gorilla Grodd. As it turns out, that was not just a clever nod to fans, and instead a hint that the hyper-intelligent, telepathic ape will be gracing our television screens.

Wildcat And Ra’s Al Ghul Are Heading To Arrow
One things fans can never complain about the CW's Arrow is a lack of DC Comics characters. Over the course of the show's two season we've seen countless villains and heroes from the comics, and that trend will continue as we get into year three. We've already seen characters like Ray Palmer a.k.a. The Atom (played by Superman Returns' Brandon Routh), the New 52 version of Count Vertigo (Fargo's Peter Stormare) and Katana (Sin City's Devon Aoki) join the ranks, and now have two more to add to that list.

Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 Gets July 2017 Release Date
Just yesterday, Guardians of the Galaxy co-writer Nicole Perlman claimed that James Gunn would be back to write and direct the sequel, and now Marvel has made it official. To close out their Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con, James Gunn and Chris Pratt showed up via video and announced that not only would they be back for the Guardians sequel, but that it already has a release date.

DC Announces Two New Animated Films For 2015
We already know that the Aquaman-centric DC animated feature film Justice League: Throne of Atlantis will kick things off in 2015, but it's just been revealed that it won't be alone. 2015 will consist of three DC animated films, as announced during the San Diego Comic-Con panel for the upcoming Batman: Assault on Arkham.

Legendary Announces New King Kong Film Skull Island For 2016
Legendary excited audiences today at San Diego Comic-Con with their official announcement of Gareth Edwards' Godzilla sequel, but that wasn't the only monstrous fan-favorite character up the studio's sleeve. The panel concluded with the surprise announcement that a new King Kong film is in the works, titled Skull Island, and it already has a release date for November 4th, 2016.

Captain America Directors To Work On Marvel’s Agent Carter Series
Much to the chagrin of fans, the Marvel TV panel at San Diego Comic-Con didn't include any information or announcements about the upcoming Daredevil series, but did provide some information about the new Agent Carter show. We originally assumed that it would be a spin-off of the Agent Carter One-Shot short film included on the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray, but as it turns out the show will be a prequel, and will take shape under a few Captain America directors.
