Today, thanks to Comic Book Movie via Entertainment Weekly, we get another glimpse at how amazing the film will look with a new banner that covers multiple scenes from the upcoming first part of the two-film prequel entitled The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
With a mere two weeks left to go until it opens, the excitement for Christopher Nolan's final part of his Batman trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises, has never been higher. For months, we've been inundated with multiple trailers, TV spots, and other viral materials that merely gave us a glimpse at how awesome the film could be, but now, with the first screening of the film having happened earlier today, we have the first reactions to the completed version.
Ridley Scott's Prometheus has been a rather divisive film. Some have hailed it as a masterpiece of science-fiction and a worthy addition to the Alien franchise, while others were less impressed with his journey into the origins of mankind. Our own Will Chadwick found the film "thoroughly entertaining," giving the film a 90% in his review. Personally, I found it resembled Scott's original 1979 masterpiece Alien far too much.

Today U.S. audiences are finally able to feast their eyes on Marc Webb's reboot of the Spider-Man franchise, which started with great numbers at midnight showings. According to Comic Book Movie, The Amazing Spider-Man raked in a grand total of $7.5 million for these showings alone, which equals the same amount as such other blockbusters as Iron Man 2, Pirates of the Caribbean 2, and Spider-Man 3.
The Hunter is a decent film that ends up feeling like two movies in one, but thanks to some really good special features, the Blu-Ray earns a recommendation.
The Playlist, via Empire, recently got a look at some new images from the film, and while they're nothing particularly special, it does show more of the interesting period detail going into the film. Last Ride attempts to be a road film about the bond between a father and son, but thanks to glaring story and character problems, all that results is a forgettable and emotionally-uninvolving film.
Take This Waltz is what you get when you start with the foundation of a bland story and then do nothing to spice it up or make it interesting, turning it into a rather disappointing sophomore effort from director Sarah Polley.
