Captain America: The First Avenger Blu-Ray Review
In order to prep us for The Avengers, Marvel figured it would probably be worth giving the first real Avenger his own movie. Captain America, a popular comic book character finally has his shot to capture audiences on the big screen. Chris Evans plays the courageous, but scrawny little man without fear and with lots of courage. Taking a giant step in the opposite direction of recent comic book adaptations Captain America: The First Avenger sets its sights on becoming a light, action packed film that catches unfamiliar viewers up to speed with who the shield throwing, blue helmet wearing, American lover really is.

Judy Moody And The Not Bummer Summer Blu-Ray Review
I'm not even sure if kids would enjoy Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer. It's extremely hyper and at times almost hard to follow thanks to Judy, the protagonist who's moody, irritating and downright weird; all at such a young age. Heather Graham provides the only real acting in the film and even her character; Aunt Opal is a bit on the wild side. Judy Moody is a modern kid's flick that bypasses any roots of traditional filmmaking with on screen idea planning, quick cuts and general sense of confusion. Films sure have changed since I was a kid!

Green Lantern Blu-Ray Review
After the successful Thor and the promising X-Men: First Class and Captain America: The First Avenger we were bound to get a superhero summer stinker. Too bad it was Green Lantern. Ryan Reynolds second attempt at a comic book character, the first being Deadpool. This time around Reynolds would have to use his skills as a cocky and arrogant asshole who somehow still manages to be charming to his advantage because the character of the Green Lantern is one of the most sci-fi heavy and silliest out there. Marvel and Paramount proved that they could blend a fantasy realm with a grounded story that also takes place on Earth in Thor and now it was DC and Warner Brothers turn, a studio/publishing combination that has spent most of its time together venturing into much darker and gritty projects like The Dark Knight and Watchmen. How does Green Lantern stack up against similar characters and even opposites?

New Trailer For Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol
A new action packed trailer for director Brad Bird's first entry in the live action field, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol is now online! It features even more crazy and insane stunts that involve Tom Cruise and his team jumping off of high buildings and escaping death countless times. This looks like one of those late sequels in a series that manages to outdo some of the previous entries in terms of quality, like this past summer blockbuster hit Fast Five.

Red State Blu-Ray Review
Kevin Smith ventures into the unknown with his first entry into the horror genre. Red State is very much a horror picture, but it's also both an action film and a character drama. Its three films mashed into one and it works damn well for the most part. Smith proves that he still knows how to make movies and he's more than willing to step outside his comfort zone to do so.

Horrible Bosses Blu-Ray Review
Charlie Day, Jason Bateman and Jason Sudeikis star in Horrible Bosses, one of the more popular R-rated raunchy comedies from this past summer. The film is for the most part funny, thanks to the crazy bosses, played by Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell and Jennifer Aniston. The main problem with Horrible Bosses is its extremely light delivery on a premise that hints and suggests much darker results. Director Seth Gordon never fully takes Horrible Bosses to its dark potential, resulting in a funny film, but nothing too memorable or praise worthy.

6 Minutes Of The Dark Knight Rises Attached To Mission Impossible 4 IMAX Prints
Do you remember back in 2007 when Warner Brothers attached the opening bank robbery scene from The Dark Knight to IMAX prints of I Am Legend? Well, according to Batman-News it looks like they plan on doing something similar with The Dark Knight Rises. A trusted source is saying that a 6 minute prologue to The Dark Night Rises will be attached to all IMAX prints of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, the Brad Bird directed sequel to a series made popular by returning star Tom Cruise.

Pulp Fiction Blu-Ray Review
It's finally here! Quentin Tarantino's cult classic Pulp Fiction has landed on Blu-Ray! Pulp Fiction is probably one of the most influential and most quotable films of all time. The film hit theaters in 1994 and it instantly became a staple of American cinema. Over the next decade tons of directors tried replicating Tarantino's clever dialogue and storytelling, but none were able match it. Pulp Fiction is full of violence, witty but interesting dialogue, pop culture references and a game changing story that fits together in the weirdest, most hilariously uncomfortable way!

The Tree Of Life Blu-Ray Review
Those of you willing to step outside of the normal thematic boundaries and accept Terrence Malick's unorthodox way of telling a universal story will find much enjoyment in The Tree of Life. It's not your ordinary film with a solid focus on one narrative, it instead chooses to have a non-linear narrative that spans over a wide spread of time. From the beginning of the cosmos, to the rise of the dinosaurs and lastly to a small town in Texas during the 1950's, The Tree of Life has no limits in what it's trying to achieve. Those looking for a simple film might be discouraged, but I still strongly recommend this title to almost anyone who is willing to give something new a chance.

Fast Five Blu-Ray Review
It's very rare that the fifth film in a series based on car chases and races is the best. Fast Five has all of the ingredients to make the perfect summer popcorn flick. You have a respectable ensemble cast that includes such stars like Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster and Dwayne Johnson. You also have tons of cars featured in various over-the-top, but really enjoyable action sequences and to top it all off you have veteran series director Justin Lin returning to the driver's seat to lead the cast. Lin was previously responsible for directing the third and fourth entries in the series, both of which didn't really make an impact for non-Fast/Furious fans, but with its new focus shifting away from strictly street racing to a big budget heist film with tons of cars brought a new crowd of fans lining up to check it out!
