While most people are attempting to come down from their summer high once September hits, most bands are already planning out their Christmas. For a capella group Pentatonix, they’ll be delivering the holiday cheer this season in the form of a new Christmas album, entitled A Pentatonix Christmas.
Fall Out Boy may be one of the biggest rock bands around, but they aren’t just one of the biggest rock bands around. They’re creative as well and they think outside the box. And maybe that’s part of the reason why they’re still so successful today. Though they’re great at churning out the hits, they’re also pretty darn great at doing things that just make you go, “Huh?” – that’s what they’re accomplishing today with the release of their short art film, entitled “Bloom.”
With only a month and a half left until Trolls releases nationwide, music is going to get much more colorful. The soundtrack to the film will be out next week, and it boasts an exciting track listing filled with songs from stars of the movie. Justin Timberlake’s summer smash, “Can’t Stop The Feeling,” will obviously be on it, but he’ll also be a part of a few duets like “What U Workin’ With?” with Gwen Stefani. One of the duets debuted today, and it’s a collab with Anna Kendrick covering “True Colors.”
JoJo’s been back with a force ever since announcing her new album, Mad Love, which will be released via Atlantic Records on October 14th. We’ve already heard the record’s lead single and Wiz Khalifa collaboration, “F–k Apologies,” but JoJo is giving us all a little more of a taste of what’s to come with the title track, “Mad Love.”
Meghan Trainor’s music videos for her latest album Thank You have been filled with fun choreography, as clips for “No” and “Me Too” show off visuals that match the tone of the tracks effortlessly. Trainor decided to shake things up a bit with her new single “Better,” as its video tugs on the heartstrings, taking a beautifully written narrative format in place of usual dance numbers.
The wait for a new Lady Gaga record is (almost) finally over. After releasing her brand new single, “Perfect Illusion,” last week, the pop superstar is dishing out the details on her upcoming full-length, which will serve as the follow-up to 2013’s ARTPOP. Lady Gaga’s new album, Joanne, will be out next month on October 21st.
Allie X is one of the most intriguing up and coming pop stars in the game. The Canadian singer and songwriter bounced onto the scene with her EP, CollXtion I, which boasted huge tracks like “Hello” and “Catch.” Her follow-up, CollXtion II Unsolved, is on its way, and so is her brand new single, “That’s So Us” -- it may just be her best single release to date.
If Ryan Follese looks or sounds familiar, it’s because he was in a band that were, at one point, one of the biggest in the country. Hot Chelle Rae had a brief run of invincibility from 2011 to 2012, where their singles “Tonight Tonight” and “I Like It Like That” were everywhere and went platinum. Even though that record had a couple more bops on it, no single caught on quite like its predecessors, and Hot Chelle Rae hasn’t had an official release since. However, that doesn’t mean music from the members stops - Ryan Follese has since launched a solo career and just debuted the music video for his new single, “Float Your Boat.”
DNCE is your new favorite band – at least according to them, they are. After forming only a year ago, the pop-rock group featuring Joe Jonas quickly made waves in the mainstream with their single "Cake By The Ocean" and EP, SWAAY. Two Top 40 singles later, DNCE is planning to the show the world what else they've got with their new debut full-length album, set for release on November 18th via Republic Records.
Kings of Leon have been in full-on promotion mode to prepare for the release of their upcoming album, Walls. After releasing the song and accompanying video for the record’s first single, “Waste a Moment,” the band is debuting a new song already called, “Around the World.”
