What’s that noise? Oh nothing, just the sound of our childhoods exploding with joy. Justin Timberlake is down for a collaboration with Britney Spears, according to his reaction when asked the question at Toronto International Film Festival. While at the festival for the premiere of his Netflix documentary, Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids, Timberlake gave an emphatic “Sure!” after he was told Spears would want to work with him, too.
When you have something big and you want to make it bigger, you add Lady Gaga. That’s just kind of how it goes. According to Billboard, the pop singer is in talks to be the halftime performer for the upcoming Super Bowl, which is expected to take place on February 5th, 2017. Gaga performing during the NFL championship would be monumental, and potentially the biggest halftime show that the program has ever seen.
If anyone has the ability to get people more crazy in love, it’s got to be Miguel. The R&B singer/songwriter is the master of jams to get you in the mood, so it’s only fitting that he’s contributing a song to Fifty Shades Darker, the sequel to 2015’s Fifty Shades of Grey.
Usher is releasing his brand new album, Hard II Love, this Friday, but if you’re a Tidal subscriber, you’ve got the opportunity to stream it on the service right now. Hard II Love is the R&B crooner’s eighth overall record, and fans haven’t gotten an album from him in over four years since he came out with Looking 4 Myself in 2012.
It just isn’t a Green Day single without an equally insane music video to go along with it. After having witnessed a motorcycle ride to a concert in the video for “Kill the DJ” and the band surrounded by fire in a prison for “Know Your Enemy,” nothing really surprises us anymore. For Green Day’s new video for “Bang Bang,” the band goes and robs a bank -- or at least their lookalikes do.
Despite the flak that streaming service-exclusive albums catch, it’s a strategy that always seems to pay off in the end. Whether it’s a record debuting first on Tidal (Kanye West’s The Life Of Pablo) or the huge amount that are exclusive first to Apple Music (Frank Ocean’s Blonde, Drake’s Views), they’re a sure fire rise to the top. Apple Music’s latest exclusive, Travis Scott’s Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight, is yet another success, as the album is debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and is Scott’s first number one record.
You’ve seen them on tour, but now you’ve got the chance to see them right in the comfort of your own living room – moshing, this time, is not advised. Fall Out Boy is bringing last summer’s tour to DVD on October 21st with The Boys Of Zummer Tour: Live In Chicago. Pre-orders are now available on Amazon.
October is basically known as Taylor Swift season. Since her debut record in 2006, Swift’s been dishing out genre defining albums every other year, but it seems like 2016 may be the first year that breaks her usual cycle. There’s no plan for her to release something next month, but fear not: she’s apparently still in the studio working on new music anyway.
The wait is finally over for new Lady Gaga music. After rumors and teases over the past couple of weeks, the singer dropped her new single, “Perfect Illusion,” which is the first song we’ve heard from her since the release of 2013’s ARTPOP.
Few bands have had comebacks go as swimmingly as Busted’s. After over a decade apart, the trio announced their immaculate reunion in November of last year, and they’ve been going non-stop ever since. They just spent the summer on a huge tour selling out arenas throughout Europe, and now they’re planning to release their first collection of songs in the form of their brand new album, Night Driver.
