Jak And Daxter Collection Dated For North America & Europe
The Jak and Daxter Collection will be released in North America on February 7th for $39.99, as well as in Europe on Febrary 22nd for €39.99. It's a collection of the original three games (Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II, & Jak III) in the acclaimed PlayStation 2 action platfomer series by developer Naughty Dog (Crash Bandicoot, Uncharted.) Enhancements will include 720p HD widescreen display, stereoscopic 3D, and over 100 PS3 Trophies across all three games.

Max Payne 3 Twitter Contest Will Put Winners In The Game
Rockstar Games recently announced a contest to be held on Twitter for the upcoming third-person shooter, Max Payne 3. Effective until January 13th, Twitter users who tweet with the hashtag of #MaxPayne3 and follow the developer's account at @RockStarGames will be entered to be chosen for consideration to have their faces digitally placed onto enemy gang members in the game.

Sour Patch Kids World Gone Sour Game Announced
Capcom has announced a downloadable action-adventure game based off of the Sour Patch Kids candy license, scheduled for release on the PC this winter and spring 2012 for the Xbox 360 & PlayStation 3. Titled World Gone Sour, the game will have the player control a lost candy piece navigating from a movie theater to its ultimate destination in a human stomach.

Jagged Alliance: Back In Action Set For Global Release In February 2012
The acclaimed Jagged Alliance strategy series is getting a new entry courtesy of publisher Kalypso Media and developer bitComposer Games. Jagged Alliance: Back In Action will contain a mixture of turn-based, real-time gameplay elements and in-depth RPG-style character development systems. Its story will have players commanding a rebel army against a tyrannical dictator by commanding troops and organizing their supplies. The Windows PC version of the game is scheduled for release in February of 2012.

Uncharted 3 Patch Includes New Aiming Options And Cutscene Viewer
Developer Naughty Dog's hit cinematic adventure game, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, has just had its latest patch uploaded for the public. Version 1.02 of the game software contains numerous bug fixes and enhancements for both the single player and online multiplayer modes, along with additions to the game's Facebook connectivity features.

Developer People Can Fly May Develop A Gears Of War Prequel Trilogy
Recently, the release of Gears of War 3 marked the end of the main series' story. According to rumors, the very well-liked game could also be developer Epic Games' last game in the franchise. Despite this, it is a no-brainer that Microsoft won't be putting one of their most beloved (and lucrative) series out to pasture just yet. Based on a recent news blurb in the Official Xbox Magazine, the development team may have already been picked.

Xotic Review
Perhaps if Xotic was cheaper, or had been allowed more development time and/or a bigger budget, we might have seen some more innovative features or attractive play mechanics. As it is, the experience feels somewhat like a relic of game design that is now a bit dated.
