When we last saw the Fastest Man Alive in The Flash, he had vowed to save Iris West's life after an accidental trip forward in time led to him witnessing the murder of his girlfriend at the hands of Savitar. However, what you may not have noticed is the fact that a news report was playing in the background about a villain called Plunder being sentenced to prison.
There have been a lot of rumors and rumblings about the upcoming release of Doctor Strange on Digital HD and Blu-ray over the past week or so, but official details have finally been revealed by Marvel and Disney today. The second Phase 3 release will hit Digital HD on February 14th, while physical copies go on sale on the 28th as previously reported.
Back when Marvel Studios was looking to cast their Sorcerer Supreme for Doctor Strange, a number of names started doing the rounds. Among them were Joaquin Phoenix, Jake Gyllenhaal, Tom Hardy and Ryan Gosling, and while Benedict Cumberbatch would ultimately win the coveted role, fans were keen on seeing any one of those stars play the hero.
As we inch closer and closer to the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League, we're starting to learn a little more about the upcoming blockbuster. Admittedly, we're still very much in the dark as to what we can expect, but Warner Bros. has slowly begun peeling back the layers, revealing a film that looks to turn things around for the DC Extended Universe and hopefully make up for the disaster that was Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
2017 is set to be the year that the DC Extended Universe gets back on track. Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad were both met with less than enthusiastic reviews and now, the company is making some serious moves to right the ship. Already it looks like the dark, grim and far too serious tone found in Snyder's earlier DCEU entries is gone for Justice League, and the bright color palette of Wonder Woman suggests that it'll be a lot easier on the eyes and more enjoyable to look at.
With Thanos set to take on a huge role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the next few years thanks to Avengers: Infinity War, the Mad Titan's presence in the comic books has been greatly increased as of late. That's both a good and bad thing, but the way the iconic villain was defeated in Civil War II definitely falls into the latter category.
While the original Nick Fury is now known as "the Unseen" and forced to take on the role once held by The Watcher, his son remains a big part of the Marvel Universe. It just so happens that he bears a striking resemblance to the version played on the big screen by Samuel L. Jackson, and the character is now getting a series of his own later this year.
The last thing we saw from New Mutants was a superb animatic featuring the team heading into action against the iconic Demon Bear, but thanks to a recent interview, we now know one more intriguing detail about the upcoming spinoff.
The midseason finale of Arrow seemingly provided some pretty underwhelming answers about the identity of Prometheus, but we've yet to find out who is truly beneath the villain's mask. Intent on destroying the life of Oliver Queen, he's already tricked the Green Arrow into murdering Felicity's boyfriend, hence why she can be seen here with the vigilante trying to track him down.
The midseason finale of Supergirl left us with a lot of unanswered questions, including what exactly Mon-El is up to. While he's claimed to be the servant to the Prince of Daxam, many fans believe that he's actually a member of the now destroyed planet's royal family, hence why aliens are heading to Earth to track him down.
