According to a report from The Wrap, Green Lantern will be featured in Zack Snyder's Justice League, which arrives in theatres next November. Despite the fact that we know next to nothing about Warner Bros.' Green Lantern Corps., which is set for a 2020 release, apparently the studio plans to introduce him in the upcoming superhero team-up film, which makes sense.
Welcome to the eighth episode of our new, weekly video show: Geek Out. We all know how busy the work week can be, and in the increasingly crowded space of comic book movies and the like, there seems to be a never ending stream of news flowing out on a day to day basis. Casting this, trailer that, rumor here, speculation there - it really does never end and can get very tiresome trying to keep up with it all.
Though Doctor Strange has enjoyed a nice run in the #1 spot at the box office, it looks like it's time for the Sorcerer Supreme to step aside to make room for another magically charged film. That being Warner Bros.' Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
The work of photographer Clay Enos has become synonymous with the DC Films Universe. Over the past few years, he's provided us with first looks at movies like Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman, Justice League, and Suicide Squad, and it's characters from the latter who are highlighted in the gallery above.
Marvel's The Defenders is currently shooting in New York City, and while we've already seen Jessica Jones reuniting with an old friend, she's so far the only member of the team to have been spotted. Well, until now that is. Yesterday, Mike Colter showed his face as Luke Cage alongside Simone Missick's Misty Knight.
We're exactly one year away from the release of Justice League, and as of right now, it doesn't appear as if we're going to get any sort of new sneak peek to mark the occasion. Thanks to Gal Gadot though, we do at least have a brand new behind the scenes photo from Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice which shows Wonder Woman going to war with the pre-CG Doomsday.
The first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to swing into theatres next month, as it'll arrive with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. For those not keeping up with what's been going on in a galaxy far, far away, the date to mark down is December 16th, as that's when Gareth Edwards' Anthology film will be with us.
It's no secret by now that Jared Leto's take on The Joker in David Ayer's Suicide Squad was divisive, to say the least. That's not necessarily the actor's fault, however, as a lot of his scenes didn't make it into the final film - something the Extended Cut is looking to rectify. Even with the additional footage though, we never really get a properly fleshed out version of the iconic villain and ultimately, we're left hoping that future sequels will do him justice.
The extended cut of Suicide Squad is now available on Digital HD, and while it doesn't sound like it adds anywhere near as much to the movie as Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice's Ultimate Edition did, there are definitely some notable extra scenes in there.
The Defenders is currently shooting in New York City, and while we've yet to see the likes of Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist on the set of the eight part event series, Krysten Ritter has been spotted as Jessica Jones alongside Rachael Taylor as her best friend Trish Walker. She's one of many supporting characters set to return in the sure to be epic team-up.
