Though Batman and all things Justice League are currently taking up most of Ben Affleck's time at the moment, he's still finding room to squeeze in other projects. Determined not to let the cape and cowl define the later years of his career, Big Ben recently got back behind (and in front) of the camera for Prohibition-era drama Live By Night, which arrives in January.
In Captain America: Civil War's after-credits scene, Peter Parker discovers that Iron Man has left him a surprise in one of his web-shooters when his bedroom is suddenly lit up with the Spider Signal. In the comic books, Spider-Man used that to announce his presence to criminals, but this hi-tech version will seemingly help the hero out in other ways.
During tonight's episode of Legends of Tomorrow, The CW released the first promo for the upcoming four night crossover which will take place between that show, Supergirl, The Flash and Arrow. It doesn't reveal much about the plot, but we do get to see the first meeting between the Girl of Steel and members of both Team Arrow and the titular Legends.
The CW has released the first images from next week's episode of Legends of Tomorrow, and in them we get to see the return of season one standout Jonah Hex. For months now, rumors have persisted that Zendaya would be playing Mary Jane Watson in Spider-Man: Homecoming. We still know very little about what Marvel has planned for Spider-Man: Homecoming. A new interview with THR revealed that star Tom Holland is contracted for at least three solo films, and the studio finally confirmed that Michael Keaton is indeed playing the Vulture, but aside from that, it's been pretty slow and dry on the news front.
After disappointing third and fourth seasons, it was clear that Arrow had to do something to shake things up in season five. The CW has achieved that with the introduction of a number of new vigilantes, and next week's instalment will see fan-favourite comic book character Vigilante makes his small screen debut.
A recently released synopsis for an upcoming episode of Supergirl's second season revealed that the titular hero will soon go to war with Cyborg Superman. Many fans quickly got excited by the news and assumed that this could open the door to Tyler Hoechlin returning to the series as a new version of the Man of Steel, but we now know that won't be the case.
Legends of Tomorrow has never been the ratings hit The CW probably expected it to be, but fans generally enjoyed the Arrow/Flash spinoff and were happy to see it receive a renewal for season 2. However, the fact that it would only consist of thirteen episodes was somewhat disappointing, especially with the Legion of Doom confirmed as the new big bads.
