Doctor Who Biopic Announced By The BBC
After months of rumors and speculation, the BBC has finally announced a Doctor Who biopic just in time for the show's 50th Anniversary next year. It will be written by Mark Gatiss and produced by Steven Moffat as they have worked together previously on Doctor Who itself, as well as the hit series Sherlock.

It's a great day for Doctor Who fans everywhere today! First we received the fantastic news that former Doctor Christopher Eccleston, would be the villain in Thor: The Dark World. Marc Webb Could Still Return For The Amazing Spider-Man Sequel
Despite being the underdog among the three main superhero movies this year, The Amazing Spider-Man was a hit, critically and financially. Having made about $650 million at the global box office, it's no surprise that the film had always been planned as a trilogy. With the sequel set for a Spring 2014 release and the two leads already locked in to reprise their roles, the only question that remains is whether Marc Webb will return to the director's chair.

J.K. Simmons Open To Playing J. Jonah Jameson In The Amazing Spider-Man Sequel
Part of the reason J. Jonah Jameson was left out of The Amazing Spider-Man was because he was played to perfection by J.K. Simmons in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy and couldn't be replaced. That didn't rule out a future appearance by the character though, as the Daily Bugle still exists in the film's universe. If he were to be introduced in the sequel, I don't think the fans would be satisfied unless Simmons reprises his role. Fortunately, our wishes just might come true.

Fringe Season 5 Trailer Released, John Noble Receives Medical Help
Despite the excellent critical reaction it receives, Fringe is the kind of show you'd expect to be cancelled pretty early in its run given the low ratings and sci-fi premise. It wouldn't be the first time it happened (Firefly anyone?) nor will it ever be the last. Yet, thanks to the strong fanbase of the show, it gets to do what a lot of others never could: end on its own terms.

Where Was The Joker During The Dark Knight Rises?
Despite some early rumors, director Christopher Nolan had always made it clear that the Joker would never be mentioned in The Dark Knight Rises so as to not account for the real-life tragedy of Heath Ledger. It was a respectable decision, but one that left the fate of the Joker to the viewer's imagination.

Anthony Russo Talks Captain America: The Winter Soldier
One of the many exciting new announcements made at Comic-Con earlier this month was that the Captain America sequel would be renamed Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and would be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo of Community fame. It seemed like a weird choice as they were more known for their TV work, but that hasn't stopped Marvel before.

The Bourne Legacy Gets Four Cool New Banners
Now that all the superhero movies for the year have been released, the focus can be shifted to the other big films coming out this summer, starting with The Bourne Legacy. A couple new banners for the film were released today by Universal Pictures as promotion slowly kicks into overdrive. From everything we've seen so far, Jeremy Renner looks ready to become the new star of the franchise and keep it alive as Matt Damon will not return.
