[Update] Prey 2 Countdown Site Updated, Bethesda Denies Involvement
Earlier this month a strange countdown site named AlienNoire was discovered that seemed to be connected to Bethesda's Prey 2 -- which was thought to have been shelved last year after it went missing from Bethesda's website. The countdown site has since been updated and is now confirmed to be a reference to Prey 2, however, the publisher is claiming that they have nothing to do with it.

Yoshida “Not Ready To Talk About” The Last Guardian’s PS3 Status
For the past several years one of the more popular pastimes for those in the video game reporting biz is to track down Sony Worldwide Studios boss, Shuhei Yoshida, and force him to state that Team Ico's The Last Guardian is still in development for the PS3. With Sony out and about for the PlayStation 4 reveal earlier this week, Venturebeat tried their hand at making Yoshida once again confirm the game's PS3 status. Interestingly, the Sony exec refused to talk about the game for the first time in recent memory.

PlayStation 4: Background Firmware Updates, 4K Output Not For Games, No DualShock 3 Support
Perhaps one of the biggest functional improvements that the PlayStation 4 will have over its current generation predecessor is that the upcoming console will eventually allow for firmware updates to be downloaded and installed in the background. This will allow users to play games on the system without the need to preform a lengthy firmware update first.

Rumor: Microsoft Expected To Reveal Xbox 720 In April
With Sony's latest worst-kept secret (the PlayStation 4) now mostly out of the bag, all eyes are turning to Microsoft for an official reveal of their next generation Xbox (dubbed the Xbox 720). So far, the company has not officially confirmed when that announcement will be, however, the industry rumor mill is suggesting that it could come as soon as this April.

PSN Games And PS3 Saves Will Not Transfer To PlayStation 4
Last night during Sony's PlayStation 4 event the company confirmed rumors that the next generation console would not be backwards compatible with PlayStation 3 software. Now that the dust from the presentation is starting to settle we are hearing that legacy disc-based games are not the only thing that the PS4 is not friendly with. According to Sony, the next-gen PlayStation will also not work with current PSN software you have purchased or your PS3 game saves.

Bungie Confirms Destiny For PS3 And PS4, PlayStation Exclusive Content
Bungie has confirmed that their upcoming persistent-world first-person shooter, Destiny, will not only launch for the PlayStation 3 but will also come in a next-gen PlayStation 4 flavor. Additionally, the studio confirmed that both PlayStation versions of Destiny will include "exclusive in-game content". Unfortunately, the studio failed expand on that thought, so we have no idea exactly what kind of deal they have struck with Sony.
