One of the many questions left unanswered after THQ's bankruptcy auction last month was the fate of their deal to publish video games based on the WWE license. Take-Two confirmed last week that they had signed a deal for the license, however, it required court approval before it would be official. Today the publisher has revealed that they have received the high sign from the courts, and have entered into an "exclusive multi-year agreement" that gives 2K Games "worldwide rights" to publish the WWE video game franchise. The first game to result from Take-Two's agreement will be WWE '14, which is scheduled to launch Fall 2013.

Nintendo of America has re-released last week’s Nintendo Direct Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon video interview with Shigeru Miyamoto. This would normally not be a newsworthy event, except that they included a new intro segment that was apparently in the Japanese presentation but was cut from the North American broadcast. I’m not sure why Nintendo decided to cut the introduction from the NA Nintendo Direct, but I’m happy that they finally released it. After all, it’s not everyday that you get to see Miyamoto try to suck Iwata up into a real life Poltergust 5000.

This means work on the title is finished, both Microsoft and Sony have given the developer the high sign, and the code for the game is now in the hands of the manufacturer who will soon burn it onto shiny DVD and Blu-ray discs. It also indicates that the third installment in the BioShock franchise will meet its March 26th release date, after experiencing only two delays.

The invites do not mention exactly what the publisher intends to reveal at the press conference, however, the unmistakable Assassin symbol on the cards makes it clear that it is connected to the popular franchise.
