The trailer for the upcoming DLC drop for Modern Warfare 3 - a map named Overwatch - has been released by Activision. The trailer shows a map set atop a New York skyscraper, complete with ample opportunities to fall off of the map, which is certainly reminiscent of a popular Modern Warfare 2 map named Highrise.
Starting today, PC gamers have an opportunity to try out the hugely popular Modern Warfare 3 on Steam. This promotion will run through the weekend, giving gamers the opportunity to try out everything the multiplayer portion of Modern Warfare 3 has to offer.
According to a press release by Codemasters, Dirt 3 is getting a Complete Edition, retailing for $39.99 on March 9th for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows. The Complete Edition will include twelve new track and a plethora of new cars to choose from.
Bobby Kotick has recently announced that Activision plans to release another Call of Duty game, and that it also plans on releasing Diablo 3 in Q2 of this year. Diablo 3 has been undergoing extensive beta testing recently, and doesn't look likely to meet the previously-targeted "early 2012" window.
Gamers who wanted to use the new maps from the first Modern Warfare 3 DLC drop on other profiles were treated to a rude surprise when they found that the DLC was locked to one profile. This was contrary to what the terms of the Call of Duty Elite service that the maps were provided through.
Ubisoft recently released a new screen for their upcoming game, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. The screenhot shows a soldier appearing to walk away from an explosion of sorts. The screenshot also shows off the nice graphical capabilities of the game, which is slated for release on May 22.
The upcoming title, Aliens: Colonial Marines, developed by Gearbox Studios, was delayed by Gearbox and its publisher, SEGA without much of an explaination. The official site was changed to alter the release date from "spring 2012" to "fall 2012" without a word from SEGA on the matter until later in the day.
After having a while to sit down with the new maps that dropped for Call of Duty Elite subscribers on January 24 (Xbox 360 only), it has become clear that Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software have put quite a bit of thought into this year's DLC season for Modern Warfare 3. However, that doesn't mean that all of the issues out there have been fixed.
