What Happened To Major League Baseball?
The "steroid era" backlash did turn some fans off, but attendance and ratings weren't that great during that time either. The ridiculous All Star game home field stipulation has turned some fans away from the game too. The 90 win Wildcard Cardinals really have home field against the AL West Champion 96 win Rangers... That's just silly.

Chicago’s Julius Peppers Came To Play Against The Vikings
On behalf of Chicago Bears fans everywhere, I’d like to welcome back Julius Peppers. After a few weeks with little impact he picked up a couple of sacks against the Vikings. It was good to see him actively involved in the game, getting after the opposing quarterbacks, and making an his presence felt. Make no mistake about it, the Bears defense will only work if Peppers and the rest of the Bears defensive line is rushing the passer on a consistent basis. Pressure from the front four is critical to any defense, but even more so with the Bears version of the Tampa 2/Cover 2.

NFL Network And Time Warner Cable Fail To Deal
It's a sad day for NFL fans that are subscribers to Time Warner Cable. According to the Sports Business Journal, the negotiations between the NFL Network and Time Warner Cable are over, and most likely done for the year. Time Warner still will not carry the NFL Network or the NFL RedZone channel for the foreseeable future.

Lovie Smith Is Faithful To A Fault
I’m not just fed up with the short yardage failings, but also the challenge flag blunders. I’m still not sure if Lovie is trying to show he believes in his guys when he blindly throws the red challenge flag, but his incompetence should be so obvious that even he can see how bad he is.

The Muppets Are Coming To The WWE
On the Halloween episode of WWE's Monday Night RAW, the Muppets will invade pro wrestling. I'm sure many hardcore wrestling fans are rolling their eyes at the thought of Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Animal, and Gonzo sharing some TV time with John Cena, The Miz, Alberto Del Rio, and C.M. Punk, but I think this will make for some entertaining and classic WWE TV moments.
