Please Reboot An R-Rated Spawn
The gritty comic book character Spawn isn't intended for the preteen set, so why the hell would a movie studio want to keep a potential reboot at PG-13? It's a dark character, set in a dark world. The reboot, which has been a long-time project for creator Todd McFarlane, has been receiving some more buzz recently thanks to the star of the 1997 Spawn film, Michael Jai White.

The NFL Should Not Fine James Harrison
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison has some interesting things to say about NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. He severely rips into him in a recent interview with Men's Journal magazine, calling him a crook and a devil. Harrison then goes on to call him a dictator and a puppet (can you be both?), he even drops a gay slur about Goodell. I wonder what fine the NFL will give the oft-fined Harrison this time?

Exclusive Interview With Michael Tully On Septien
Septiene written, directed, and staring Michael Tully opens in limited release this week. It's world premiere was earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival and it can currently be seen on video on demand. I've seen this film described as quirky, bizarre, mysterious, and odd. I've head it referred to as a comedy, a drama, a sports movie, and a character study. Above all else though, I keep reading one thing about the film, and that's how good it is.

Chad Ochocinco Is Locked Out, He Can Do What He Wants
Ochocinco has 1 more year left on his deal worth 6 million dollars. Odds are he'll be released as soon as the lockout is lifted. I find it telling that with so much back and forth between he, his owner, and his coach Marvin Lewis, that there's nary a mention of it on the teams official website. It's like the mandate has been laid down to not even cover any of his drama because the team is prepared to move on. And Ochocinco knows it.

Could the NBA Recover From a Lockout?
As it is now, the NBA seems to be alienating some fans with the move towards Superteams. If the 'Big 3' type trend continues, it'll leave all but a few teams with a legit Finals chance. Not having the NBA around will push even more fans away. Having the ultimate Villain in the Miami Heat is good for the game, as was the Dallas Mavericks overcoming the odds with a mostly homegrown team to win it all. I hope the NBA doesn't buzzkill what ever momentum they're building.

A Closer Look At BYU’s Jimmer Fredette
Even though he'll play point guard at the next level, he'll still be counted on to score. He took, and made, some deep three point shots at BYU, and that part of his game looks to translate well to the NBA. He also has an outstanding pull up mid-range game, a lost art in basketball. Fredette can drive with either hand, stop and pull up for his high percentage jumper.

Interview With Ohio State Great Doug Plank
Last week I had the fortunate opportunity to ask former Ohio State Buckeye great and Chicago Bears legend Doug Plank a few questions about the recent tumultuous activity at his Alma mater. I also asked him some questions about the NFL. Plank graduated from Ohio State in 1975 and played for the legendary Woody Hayes. He spent 2010 as a volunteer assistant coach for the Buckeyes under then coach Jim Tressel and spent his entire 8 year NFL career with the Chicago Bears. Currently he is a member of the NSCA scouting team.
