About The Author

Lindsay Sperling has A.D.D. and her tastes reflect it. Her movie collection boasts everything from Casablanca to John Tucker Must Die to every season of Sons of Anarchy to-date. She adamantly supported a Veronica Mars Movie (yes, she did make a donation to see it happen..and also possibly for the t-shirt), hopes that the Fast & Furious franchise continues far into the future, and has read every popular YA book series turned film in recent years (except Harry Potter..). When she's not on an indie film set or educating the youth of America, she uses her time arguably productive as a freelance writer.

Pretty Little Liars Review: “I’m A Good Girl, I Am” (Season 5, Episode 24)
It's not the first time the Liars have been thrown to the wolves, Alison (Sasha Pieterse) included, but it is the first time that the writers have played things this close to the edge. Pretty Little Liars, for a teen drama sans any supernatural elements especially, deals in life and death situations on what seems like a ceremonious basis. Even after discovering that for the better part of four long seasons Ali was actually on the run instead of being dead (since let's face it, in today's programming 25 episodes might as well be an eternity), the body count is still fairly high - and, we're not talking about characters dying from old age or illness either. Yet, after all that evading and creative storytelling, Ali's lies caught up with her in the most inconvenient way, leaving all the Liars stuck in unflattering orange jumpsuits until further notice.

The 100 Season Finale Review: “Blood Must Have Blood, Part Two” (Season 2, Episode 16)
If you had to take a moment, or several, to decompress after the season two finale tonight - you're in good company. It's not that other CW network series don't have high body counts, but those all seem to be of the supernatural or superhero variety these days. The 100 represents a clear shift in the network's content, and frankly, Jason Rothenberg and the writing team behind this show put just about every other teen drama to shame tonight with the concluding part of "Blood Must Have Blood," showcasing that happily ever after sometimes comes at the expense of quite a few innocent lives.

Pretty Little Liars Review: “The Melody Lingers On” (Season 5, Episode 23)
It's a little surreal how quickly Pretty Little Liars has progressed from harmless teenage pranks to serious courtroom drama right before our very eyes. With the never-ending barrage of unanswered questions, the show seems like it has flown by and it's a little on the scary side where the writers are taking us as they wrap up the current season. Two of the characters are facing serious jail time for a murder they didn't commit and the other Liars are running around with not much to go on except for the occasional taunting text message from their faceless tormentor.

Pretty Little Liars Review: “To Plea Or Not To Plea” (Season 5, Episode 22)
It's not everyday that your friends are arrested for murder, right? Well, that doesn't really seem to be the case in the Pretty Little Liars universe, where being accused of killing someone seems to be what all the cool kids are doing these days. And among the Liars' growing list of concerns is the fact that contrary to popular opinion, orange is not the new black.

Pretty Little Liars Review: “Bloody Hell” (Season 5, Episode 21)
The lead up to the big A reveal is paved in misdirection, and a series of unfortunate events - but, that's not really a departure from what fans were expecting when they tuned in tonight. On this episode of Pretty Little Liars, the Liars find themselves crawling back to their former friend turned enemy turned friend again (it's hard for us to keep up, too), Ali (Sasha Pieterse). You may be thinking that it's a giant leap in the wrong direction, but when you really think about it, it's strategically masterful. If they're going to face-off with A, and it's really about time they get on with it already, it's probably better to have their own evil genius on the planning committee.

The 100 Review: “Resurrection” (Season 2, Episode 13)
It's not an ideal situation by any means, but somehow the Sky people and the Grounders have found a way to coexist - at least for the time being. But how long after they figure out that Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Lexa (Alycia Debman Carey) left them to be blown up without so much as a courtesy warning before all hell breaks loose on The 100? With war on the horizon, the Commander better cross her fingers that no one with a big mouth realizes that their fearless leader was willing to sacrifice everyone except herself for the cause.

Pretty Little Liars Review: “Pretty Isn’t The Point” (Season 5, Episode 20)
Pretty Little Liars offered fans another solid episode tonight as the writers glacially moved us toward the promised A reveal that's coming at the end of the season. Granted, nothing groundbreaking happened, since who didn't question the entire Mona (Janel Parrish) being dead thing anyway, but there was still enough juicy plot points floating around unrestricted on "Pretty Isn't the Point" to keep viewers sufficiently entertained.
