About The Author

Lindsay Sperling has A.D.D. and her tastes reflect it. Her movie collection boasts everything from Casablanca to John Tucker Must Die to every season of Sons of Anarchy to-date. She adamantly supported a Veronica Mars Movie (yes, she did make a donation to see it happen..and also possibly for the t-shirt), hopes that the Fast & Furious franchise continues far into the future, and has read every popular YA book series turned film in recent years (except Harry Potter..). When she's not on an indie film set or educating the youth of America, she uses her time arguably productive as a freelance writer.

Teen Wolf Review: “Anchors” (Season 3, Episode 13)
Teen Wolf is officially back for the second half of season three, and fans can expect a slightly different pace going into it. The focus hasn't entirely veered away from Miss Blake (Haley Webb) and her super psycho revenge plot against the Alpha pack, but I think we can safely assume that things have come to an end for her character. Kali (Felisha Terrell) may not have finished her off the first time around, but Peter (Ian Bohen) certainly doesn't believe in leaving any loose ends.

Lindsay Sperling’s Top 10 TV Shows Of 2013
Television isn't made by any one person, and it certainly isn't made for any one specific demographic, which can sometimes blur the line between what is considered "good" TV and what isn't. In contrast to "popular opinion," I admittedly prefer some television series that are heavier on the fluff factor (I offer most of the shows I regularly review as examples) rather than what can be considered as compelling examples of TV narrative at its' finest. But, that's what I love about the medium. Good television is not exclusive to one genre or network. You can find series that fit all of your viewing desires without sacrificing personal taste; the part of me that loves to see comic book characters come to life on film can enjoy CW's Arrow while the history buff part of me craved Showtime's mini-series The White Queen.

The Vampire Diaries Review: “Fifty Shades Of Grayson” (Season 5, Episode 10)
In case you haven't picked up on any of The Vampire Diaries subtle hints over the past 5 seasons, this episode reiterates that there is a definite reason why Damon (Ian Somerhalder) doesn't have many (read: any) friends. As charming as he can be when the situation calls for it, he can't escape from his propensity for pushing the people closest to him away. And up at bat this week - Elena (Nina Dobrev).

Sons Of Anarchy Season Finale Review: “A Mother’s Work” (Season 6, Episode 13)
Going into the season 6 finale of Sons of Anarchy, it's pretty straightforward that Jax (Charlie Hunnam) has no one to blame but himself for the compromising position he finds himself in before the opening credits even start to roll. But it's easy to see where he and I might have a difference of opinion given that I'm watching from the sidelines in the comfort and safety of my own home, while he's busy riding around on a badass Harley, dodging bullets from various ethnically-tied organizations, and orchestrating the deaths of any number of people at a given time.

The Vampire Diaries Review: “The Cell” (Season 5, Episode 9)
Katherine Pierce (Nina Dobrev) has been both friend and foe to Elena (also Dobrev) and her merry band of supernatural and supernatural-friendly cohorts since she came into the picture back in season 1 of The Vampire Diaries. We've watched her plot, scheme, and conspire against just about every character on the show - if she skipped over anyone, her lack of interest can almost be considered an insult.

Sons Of Anarchy Review: “You Are My Sunshine” (Season 6, Episode 12)
On Sons of Anarchy, Oakland isn't the only thing that relies on a delicate balance to keep it from falling apart. Season 6 of SOA has been primarily focused on the journey the MC has taken to get out of guns, but there's also been this underlying story of what happens to relationships when they are stretched too far and too thin. Not only when it comes to Jax (Charlie Hunnam) and Tara (Maggie Siff), but across the board.

The Vampire Diaries Review: “Dead Man On Campus” (Season 5, Episode 8)
The Vampire Diaries is moving along unusually quick this season. They've already tied up one major storyline and Silas (Paul Wesley), Quetsiya/Tessa (Janina Gavankar) and Amara (Nina Dobrev) are all dead - although TVD history has taught us that doesn't always mean they're gone for good (Both Bonnie and Jeremy, who are main characters, have come back from the dead). Now, we're rapidly moving into the underlying Augustine vampire plot that has been setting itself up since the beginning of the season.
