Yesterday morning, Warner Bros. dropped a new trailer for Justice League and sent the internet into a collective frenzy. Featuring more than enough epic action, a dose of much needed humor and some truly promising things to come, it was an overall solid preview, that while still lacking a few things we were hoping to see, has us feeling a lot more optimistic about the upcoming blockbuster.
Given how successful the franchise has been up to this point, it's a bit surprising that it's taken so damn long for How To Train Your Dragon 3 to get off the ground. Granted, animated films often do have long productions, but still, the last film flew into theatres in 2014 and the threequel isn't set to arrive until 2019. That's a five year gap, which is a long time for any series - animated or not.
While Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and the like are busy stealing the spotlight thanks to the Justice League marketing blitz Warner Bros. has been laying on us this week, there's still room for other superheroes to swing on by for an appearance. Just yesterday, Sony dropped two brand new posters for Spider-Man: Homecoming and now, they've unleashed one more, which once again shows off the titular hero making his way around New York City.
By now, you've surely seen the explosive new Justice League trailer. If you haven't, we've embedded it above for your viewing pleasure. While not a perfect preview, especially for a film with so much riding on it, there was certainly a lot to like in the footage that was shown. From some terrific character moments to the welcome humor peppered throughout, it's a mostly promising look at a blockbuster which has an uphill battle ahead of it in terms of winning over fans.
Well, here it is, folks. The moment you, myself and just about everyone else with a pulse has been waiting for - the new Justice League trailer. Yes, we can't believe it either, but up above you'll be able to clock eyes on brand new footage from the upcoming blockbuster and after so many months of radio silence and concerning rumors, it feels damn good to finally be able to get our hands on this preview.
Remaking a film like Escape From New York isn't necessarily the best idea, but if anyone's going to be in charge of such a project, Robert Rodriguez would be right up there on our list of people we'd want to get behind the camera. Thankfully, it looks like that's exactly what will happen, as The Tracking Board is reporting that the studio has their eye on him to direct. It's not a done deal just yet, mind you, but 20th Century Fox is certainly looking to lock him down.
So far, we've had bite-sized Justice League promos focusing on Wonder Woman, Batman, the Flash and Aquaman, all preparing us for tomorrow's full trailer reveal. Now, it's Cyborg's time to enter the fray, and as the least well known of the bunch, it's nice to finally get to spend a bit of time with Ray Fisher's hero.
Clearly not content to sit back and let DC steal all the spotlight this week, Marvel has now dropped a stylish new poster for Spider-Man: Homecoming. Seen below, it features our hero taking a bit of a breather as he lays back and jams out to some tunes. In the background is the New York skyline, complete with the Avengers tower.
It's been a busy week for Zack Snyder's Justice League, as the marketing campaign for the film has finally kicked into gear ahead of tomorrow's full trailer reveal. It all began with a brief promo focusing on Aquaman, who also received his very own character poster. Following on from that, we got the same treatment for both Batman and the Flash. Now, it's Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman who gets her chance in the spotlight.
Towards the end of 2016, the world lost a true icon of the screen when Carrie Fisher passed away. The actress had recently reprised the role of Leia Organa for J.J. Abrams' The Force Awakens, and had finished filming her scenes for the next installment in the main saga, Rian Johnson's Star Wars: The Last Jedi. However, Fisher was also supposed to return for the final part of the new trilogy, and this has had many wondering if her role in The Last Jedi would be altered in any way.
