First Reactions To Syfy’s 12 Monkeys [NYCC 2014]
After an exhausting day spent wandering the New York Comic Con floor last Friday, Syfy offered me sanctuary in the form of comfy theater chairs and a sneak preview of their upcoming television reboot, 12 Monkeys. Based off Terry Gilliam's popular film (Twelve Monkeys), showrunners Travis Fickett and Terry Matalas are looking to bring a hard science fiction bite to Syfy's regularly scheduled programming, repurposing a famous genre brand in the process. While I can't unleash a full review due to the show's January 16th series debut, I am allowed to give you my initial thoughts on the entire pilot episode without spoiling any of the super-juicy details.

The Pact II Review
The Pact II plays like a more convoluted version of The Pact - and since I don't care for Nicholas McCarthy's original, I think you can guess how I feel about Hallam and Horvath's sequel.

Exclusive Interview With The Cast And Crew Of “Bonestorm” On V/H/S: Viral
While I enjoyed most of V/H/S: Viral, not really wanting to play favorites, there's no denying the frantic awesomeness of a little segment called "Bonestorm." My best goes out to Nacho Vigolondo, Gregg Bishop and Marcel Sarmiento for their respective horror shorts, but Spring/Resolution filmmakers Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead have done the unthinkable and challenged previous V/H/S favorite "Safe Haven" for franchise supremacy. Starting out with a group of skateboard punks looking to record a sick demo, the segment quickly becomes a video-game-esque shoot 'em up I dubbed "Skater Punk Call Of Duty." Once Benson and Moorhead hit their stride, there's no competition amidst the skull-crushing gore, crazy cultists and evil monsters, which you can read about in my Fantastic Fest review of V/H/S: Viral.
