Here is Sweet Tooth standing next to Twisted Metal and God of War creator David Jaffe who has joined Pixelbionic, an independent game studio, as a creative advisor to the indie company's first game: Autoduel. When the game comes to fruition, it will be a vehicular combat game reflecting Jaffe's own Twisted Metal and also slightly inspired by Interstate '76.
Daniel Loeb, CEO of Third Point, LLC, Sony's largest investor, is not entirely pleased with the company's efforts to return to profitability, as he thinks that not enough is being done. Controlling $1.1 billion worth in the company's shares, equivalent to about 6.5% of the company, Loeb's offered a suggestion. This proposal carries out a plan that would split Sony Entertainment and Sony Electronics, a move he explained in a personal letter to Sony's CEO Kaz Hirai. The letter suggests that the electronic super power should "partially spin-off" Sony Entertainment, the part of the company dealing with music publishing, production of movies and TV shows.
What should have been an impressive number, 4.9 million, turns out to be a disappointment. That's how many copies of Resident Evil 6 have been sold in an announcement made by Capcom during its yearly financial report. This many units sold put Resident Evil 6 on a pedestal high enough to be the fourth best seller in the entire company's history. However, even with its popularity, the game was deemed an utter disappointment in terms of sales.
Patrice Desilets, the creator of Assassin's Creed, the franchise of which over 55 million copies have been sold, has been fired from Ubisoft. Polygon reached out to Desilets for a comment and it seems that Ubisoft was far from courteous in the process as he "...was notified of this termination in person, handed a termination notice and was unceremoniously escorted out of the building by two guards without being able to say goodbye to [his] team or collect [his] personal belongings."
