Game publisher Kalypso Media has today announced a sequel for their PC strategy game where it’s better to be evil than good, Dungeons, titled Dungeons: The Dark Lord. The goal of Dungeons is to create your own unique dungeon to lure heroes in and eventually build up their soul’s power by keeping the hero happy with whatever it is that specific hero enjoys, such as finding treasure or rescuing others, until the point where one of your traps catches them and your dungeon lord saps the energy out of them.
With the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) happening next week gamers are starting to get that rush of excitement as their favorite companies tease some of the titles that they can expect to hear plenty about during the show. Game publisher THQ has today announced the sequel for their post-apocalyptic title Metro: 2033, titled Metro: Last Light and due out for the PC and consoles in 2012. Metro: Last Light will take players back into Moscow as dangerous mutants continue to stalk the underground catacombs.
Zombie killing fans rejoice, SEGA has today announced plans to release an extended cut version of their zombie shooter House of the Dead: Overkill in all of its B-Movie glory (or is it gory?) on the PlayStation 3.
Konami has announced that they will be releasing a new World War II era air combat simulator for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Birds of Steel. Birds of Steel is developed by Gaijin Entertainment and will let players take part in some of the most important air battles of World War II, including the battles of Midway, Guadalcanal, Coral Sea, the Siege of Malta and even the attack on Pearl Harbor in both single player and multiplayer modes.
Ubisoft has revealed that they are working on a new Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon title for the PC that will be free to play.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Online is a PC third-person cover based shooter that is being developed by Ubisoft’s Singapore studio. Gamers will be able to choose from three different classes of “Ghost”, customize their weapons, deploy cutting edge military technology and share their gathered intel with their team.
Ubisoft will also be backing the game with a full set of services that include content updates, live support and regular events. To get the community involved some content offered will be based on community feedback as well.
Game publisher Atlus USA has announced that the only Shin Megami Tensei: Persona title to never before be released outside of Japan will finally be making its way to North America later this year.
