The God Of Thunder Takes The Throne In New Thor: Ragnarok Promo
If we think of the narrative arc of the Thor films, with his Avengers appearances sprinkled in, it becomes clear that they form something of an origin story for an Asgardian King. He has always been destined to take the throne in the absence of his father, Odin – but Thor has thus far been reluctant, and avoided it at all costs. This has caused problems for Asgard – most notably when last we saw the throne, and it had Loki sitting in it, impersonating Odin. Thor: Ragnarok, being the third instalment, will apparently bring that arc to a satisfying conclusion – as a new promotional clip sees the God Of Thunder finally take his rightful seat.

Expect Rose To Be A Really Cool Character In Star Wars: The Last Jedi
One of the biggest criticisms levelled at the Star Wars franchise over the past 40 years has been its lack of inclusion. Until The Force Awakens arrived in 2015, the films were largely led by white male characters, with token, white, brown-haired women alongside them – despite the story being a vast space opera set in a future filled with intergalactic senates and giant, planetary warfare. The character of Lando Calrissian was the token exception to that rule when he joined the cast in 1980’s Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. The Force Awakens and Rogue One were more inclusive in terms of male characters, but women of colour were still only a marginal presence – which is why Star Wars: The Last Jedi represents some progress.

Written and directed by Lana and Lilly Wachowski, the action sci-fi blockbuster took giant, complex themes about the nature of reality, and poured them into story of heroism and self-discovery – led by Keanu Reeves as Neo, or The One. In recent months, there has been a notable glitch in the fandom of The Matrix, since Warner Bros began to indicate its intention to revisit the franchise in some way, that would involve screenwriter Zak Penn – and we now have a response from Keanu Reeves on the issue.

Cult Of Chucky Director Gives Some Insight Into That Pivotal Death Scene
Chucky the demonic doll has been terrorizing audiences since he first appeared in Child’s Play in 1988. That legendary horror film has spawned six sequels, with the entire franchise coming from the pen of screenwriter Don Mancini – who made his directorial debut with 2004’s Seed Of Chucky. Universal Has Delayed Fast And Furious 9, Pushing Release Back To 2020
Since The Fast And The Furious was released back in 2001, Universal has built the property into one of the biggest film franchises ever made. Two of its instalments – Furious 7 and The Fate Of The Furious – have secured spots in the top 15 highest grossing movies, worldwide, of all-time. Globally, the series as a whole has generated over $5 billion in box office revenue. This is a flagship title for the studio, which makes it all the more curious to hear that the release date for the next instalment – tentatively titled Fast And Furious 9 – has been delayed by a full year.
