The other day, we reported that Suge Knight, the co-founder of Death Row Records failed to appear in court and was issued a $40,000 bench warrant for his arrest. It was later revealed that Knight was arrested in West Hollywood, California on late Friday night.
The Toronto Star reports that a Toronto man has been found with 3,600 Playstation games and related equipment. The products, worth $500,000, was only half of the amount that was reported missing when two tractor trailers were stolen last month in Brampton, Ontario.
Just a couple of days ago, we reported that the A Tribe Called Quest documentary, Beats, Rhymes & Life: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest will be debuting at the Sundance Film Festival in January. Member of the influential hip hop group, Q-Tip, tweeted his disapproval of the film later that day.
Last night in the Toronto stop of J. Cole's tour at the Sound Academy, the Roc Nation rapper brought out hometown star, Drake, to perform In The Morning off of J. Cole's latest 'Friday Night Lights' mixtape to a huge reaction from the crowd. Drake also performed his song Up All Night.
A $40,000 bench warrant has been issued for Suge's arrest after failing to appear in court on November 23rd in L.A. according to TMZ. While Suge is frequently in trouble with the law for mostly violent offenses, he was only due in court this time to address charges of driving with a suspended license and running a stop sign on September 23rd. These seemingly normal offenses baffle me as a reason to be on the run.
Here's a new track off of the upcoming album 'Gutter Rainbows'. It's been a while since I've been excited for a Kweli album since he's been kind of stagnant the last couple of years but this breathes new life into the rapper. This new track is produced by Ski Beatz, who is most known for his work with Jay-Z, Camp Lo and more recently Curren$y.
The Sundance Institute announced today the films that will be debuting at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival in January. One of the films is Michael Rapaport's documentary on the legendary hip hop group A Tribe Called Quest called Beats, Rhymes and Life: The Story of A Tribe Called Quest
In a word, yes. You're paying $10 (800MSP) for three maps. While it's a little more than I'd like to pay, it was the same deal for Halo 3's map packs so I wasn't really expecting a different price. For what it's worth though, these are some strong offerings in their respective areas of focus. I'll run down each of these maps individually from smallest to biggest.
Say it ain't so! Joell Ortiz's long awaited sophomore studio album, 'Free Agent', which was supposed to release today, November 30th, has once again been delayed. While Ortiz is now free from the label, E1 Entertainment is still releasing the album and confirmed a 2011 release.
Zombie lovers rejoice! Capcom has announced that Case West, an epilogue to the main game, is coming out "next month". An exact date or price has not been set yet but I'd assume that it'll arrive around Christmas. This will be an Xbox 360 exclusive download.
