New Talib Kweli Song: Cold Rain (Produced By Ski Beatz)

Here's a new track off of the upcoming album 'Gutter Rainbows'. It's been a while since I've been excited for a Kweli album since he's been kind of stagnant the last couple of years but this breathes new life into the rapper. This new track is produced by Ski Beatz, who is most known for his work with Jay-Z, Camp Lo and more recently Curren$y.

Here’s a new track off of the upcoming album ‘Gutter Rainbows’. It’s been a while since I’ve been excited for a Kweli album since he’s been kind of stagnant the last couple of years but this breathes new life into the rapper. This new track is produced by Ski Beatz, who is most known for his work with Jay-Z, Camp Lo and more recently Curren$y.

The beat is pretty unorthodox as there is a time signature change every couple of bars. It’s a very unconventional structure for a hip hop song and forces Kweli to stay on his toes to rap on beat. Check out the song below.

‘Gutter Rainbows’ releases on January 25th, 2011.
