Robert Kraft allegedly forced Ed Sheeran to drop Macklemore. One month later, Zach Bryan plays Kraft’s own stadium and wears the exact same message

Hind's Hall flashbacks.

Zach Bryan took a bold stand at Gillette Stadium this past Friday by wearing a shirt that displayed the message Free Palestine, Deadline reported. This move arrived during his performance for the With Heaven on Tour at a venue owned by Robert Kraft. It follows a period of intense pressure directed at other artists who have expressed public support for Palestinians.

Robert Kraft and other venue owners previously pressured Ed Sheeran to remove Macklemore from his tour lineup. Sheeran ultimately complied with those demands last month after receiving an ultimatum from the promoters.

Sheeran later addressed the situation by stating it was the promoter’s decision to drop the artist. This choice led to a wave of departures from the tour, including openers Finneas, Aaron Rowe, and Lukas Graham, as well as Sheeran’s own backing band, Beoga.

Sheeran was already forced to cancel his Gillette Stadium shows last weekend

Those cancellations were due to a nor’easter moving toward Boston, even though Sheeran had already caved to the demands regarding his tour roster. Now that Zach Bryan has chosen to wear the same message that caused the initial controversy, many are watching to see how the management at the Massachusetts venue will respond.

Macklemore has not let the pressure stop his efforts to advocate for the cause. Macklemore announced the Free Palestine Tour last week, which he described as supporting the Palestinian people and movement. The tour is set to run from October 26 to October 30 in Dublin, Paris, and London. Macklemore provided an update regarding the ticket sales for these dates, noting that the tour sold out immediately.

It is interesting to see how different artists are navigating these expectations. While some are choosing to remain neutral or comply with promoter demands, others are using their platform to make their personal views clear.
