Jay-Z will headline the 2027 Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on February 14, 2027, according to a music industry insider, Deadline reports. The rap superstar and 25-time Grammy winner organizes the massive concert series through his entertainment company Roc Nation.
Jay-Z is playing two shows this Friday and Saturday at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, putting him right on the field where the championship game will occur. The NFL did not respond to a request for comment on Tuesday, so an in-person reveal on his own stage would make a lot of sense.
According to Deadline, Beyoncé is a very likely pick to join Jay-Z on the Super Bowl Halftime Show, particularly because she already appeared alongside her spouse during the Yankee Stadium stop of the tour. Jay-Z also invited fellow icons like Nas and Pharrell Williams during his New York City dates.
Jay-Z has carried that collaborative energy across the ocean as well
His recent London stop at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium treated fans to a mini-Fugees reunion with Lauryn Hill and Wyclef. In May, Jay-Z also reunited with his longtime collaborators The Roots to headline the Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, marking their first live performance together in more than a decade.
Jay-Z is currently on the road for his global Jay-Z 30 Tour, which commemorates the 30th anniversary of his debut album Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of his seminal record The Blueprint. Fans also got a closer look at his creative history last month with Jay-Z in 8, an eight-part docuseries that launched on HBO and HBO Max. That project features detailed conversations with music producer Rick Rubin, walking audiences through the key moments of his career.
Live viewership for this halftime slot remains massive year after year. Bad Bunny headlined the event last year at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco, pulling in an impressive 128.8 million viewers. His performance brought out major names like Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, along with cameos from Jessica Alba, Pedro Pascal, and more.
That massive turnout was down slightly from Kendrick Lamar’s historic performance in 2025, which set an all-time record by reaching 133 million viewers. Lamar previously co-headlined the 2022 show at SoFi Stadium alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige, which was the last time the game visited Los Angeles.
Television viewers will have clear broadcast access for the main event on February 14, 2027. ESPN is set to air this year’s game, and the network will also provide a simulcast on ABC.
