31yo woman smashes up Drake’s NYC store with hammer, tries to set it on fire

What is her beef with the rapper? And why did she decide to settle it in such a destructive way?

Drake‘s October’s Very Own store in Manhattan became the scene of a shocking attack on Tuesday when a woman caused thousands of dollars in damage with a hammer. The incident occurred at 4:45 PM at the rapper’s flagship clothing store located on Bond Street in lower Manhattan.

Police say the woman, later identified as 31-year-old Shauna Stoner from Queens, New York, caused $23,400 worth of damage to the store. According to Page Six and the NYPD, witnesses reported seeing the woman smashing windows and destroying merchandise inside the popular retail location.

Video footage captured the dramatic scene showing a woman in just a black bra and leather pants throwing items to the ground inside the store and smashing windows from the inside. The suspect was seen pulling a hammer from a large pink purse before going to work on the store’s windows. After completing the destruction inside, she walked out of the store and continued down the street, passing by shocked onlookers.

NYPD arrests suspect on multiple charges

The New York Police Department responded quickly to reports of criminal mischief at the store. Officers interviewed witnesses who told them the woman had used a hammer to damage the property extensively. Police also said they were informed that the suspect had attempted to start a fire inside the store using a lighter and an aerosol can.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident despite the serious nature of the attack. The NYPD arrested Stoner and charged her with criminal mischief and attempted arson. She was taken into custody after officers found her on a nearby street corner, where they handcuffed her and searched her belongings.

Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham, opened the OVO store in 2016 as his third flagship location. The store has become a popular destination for fans looking to purchase merchandise from the Canadian rapper’s brand. Representatives for Drake have not yet responded to requests for comment about the incident, and the Grammy-winning artist has not made any public statements about the attack on his store.
