Donald Trump plots revenge against Taylor Swift

Is this the "price" he warned Taylor would be paying for endorsing Kamala Harris?

If there is one person whom Donald Trump has consistently hated, it is Taylor Swift, so much so that he is taking it to the next level – by scheming to break up the singer and Travis Kelce.

Taylor Swift has never backed out of calling out Trump when his greed and ambition for power are a little too transparent. In May 2020, amid nationwide protests following George Floyd’s death, Swift bashed the GOP leader for “stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism” and let him know that America “will vote you out in November.” It definitely didn’t win her any favor when she openly and loudly first endorsed Joe Biden and then Kamala Harris, who she said would accomplish a lot for America since – unlike Trump – by leading the country “by calm and not chaos.”

Because acting like a mature leader, someone who is tasked with running a world power, is almost entirely impossible for Trump, his response to Taylor’s endorsement for Harris was declaring (in all CAPS) that “”I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” and bitterly warning that she would pay the price for not supporting him.

Clearly, he has moved past the petty comments, only to jump over to petty tactics.

While welcoming the Philadelphia Eagles to the White House to celebrate their 2025 Super Bowl win against the Kansas City Chiefs, Trump unnecessarily broached the topic of Taylor being present at the event to watch Kelce play at the Chiefs’ tight end.

“I watched in person. I was there along with Taylor Swift, how did that work out? How did that one work out?”

His insinuation here is clear – he is not just mocking the Chiefs’ loss in the Super Bowl, but crudely implying Taylor Swift brought bad luck to the team with her presence, and they lost because of her. It’s his way of undermining Taylor’s reputation and fame by regressing to the age-old notion of blaming the girlfriends or wives of sportsmen for their losses. What our dear president is forgetting that he was there rooting for the Chiefs too.

Anyway, hopefully, Kelce isn’t as shallow as Trump believes and won’t let the lame seeds of toxicity grow between them just because a bitter man couldn’t gulp down the fact that a woman didn’t shy away from pointing out his glaring transgressions and openly held him accountable for every one of them. That over-inflated ego was bound to resort to spiteful tactics that wouldn’t have even worked on preschoolers.
