More than 25 years of marriage and the couple is still melting hearts with their affection one another.

The veteran actress spoke with Entertainment Tonight at the Critics’ Choice Awards about how much of a cheerleader Vance has been throughout the entire awards season, referring to his support as “wonderful.” In a now viral moment, Vance could be seen leaping for joy at the announcement that his wife had won the award for Best Supporting Actress— Motion Picture, and proudly whipping out his iPhone to record her heartfelt acceptance speech.

She also shared how grateful she is to have been receiving a lot of love this season, calling it the wind beneath her wings, and a wonder. Not only was the award win a groundbreaking moment, as it will now sit in the history books as the first ever win for a performance in a Marvel movie. Not only that, but it’s also been 30 years since the actress picked up her first ever Golden Globe for her performance in the 1993 biopic What’s Love Got to Do with It, where she portrayed Tina Turner.

For her role as Queen Ramonda of Wakanda in Wakanda Forever, Bassett has received overwhelming praise for her emotive and strong acting, and recently also picked up the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress, alongside numerous other nominations and accolades.
