Love him or hate him, if there is one thing that can’t be denied about Donald Trump, it’s his ability to stay relevant in the public eye.
The former United States president recently expressed his disapproval of Alec Baldwin returning to work on Rust by criticizing the actor on his social media platform Truth Social.
This topic is controversial because Baldwin is facing manslaughter charges following the death of Halyna Hutchins, the film’s cinematographer. The incident occurred in 2021 when Baldwin allegedly held his loaded weapon, and it reportedly went off. Although the case is ongoing, even with the special prosecutor stepping down, media outlets report Baldwin resumed filming Rust this week.
On April 20, Trump took to Truth Social not only to berate Balwin by calling him “a psycho and a very sick puppy,” but the 76-year-old also used this opportunity to promote his new book Letters to Trump. In the post, Trump stated while recalling one moment when Baldwin wanted to play him in a movie,
“Alec Baldwin used to beg to play my life in a movie. With time, I believe Alec became a psycho, a very sick puppy. Check out the letter Alec wrote to me, many years ago. My new book, LETTERS TO TRUMP, comes out next week! An incredible collection of correspondence. Get your copy today”
In addition to the upload, Trump shared a screenshot of a letter he received from Baldwin in 1998. Its components consisted of the star praising and thanking Trump for allowing his family to stay in what appeared to be the father of five’s penthouse. While Trump and Baldwin were friendly back in the day, the pair’s feud in recent years went to new heights when the actor publicly mocked him on Saturday Night Live.
At this time, Baldwin has yet to address Trump’s latest remarks.
