Hilaria Baldwin’s picture celebrating charges dropped against her husband Alec Baldwin over ‘Rust’ shooting doesn’t go over well

What a tender moment they staged...

Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Baldwin must be feeling relieved today, after all charges stemming from the Rust shooting incident have been dropped. The ruling came Thursday, as Baldwin’s lawyers have announced. However, the awkward celebratory selfie Hilaria posted on Instagram is getting roasted today for oh, so many reasons.

On the New Mexico set of Rust in 2021, Alec Baldwin was holding the “prop” gun that went off and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Prosecutors weren’t too quick about filing charges on anyone until a thorough investigation had been completed, but eventually, in January of 2023, he was charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter. Weapons supervisor Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was also criminally charged, but her charges have yet to be dropped.

Per USA Today, Special prosecutors Kari T. Morrissey and Jason J. Lewis declared in official statement, “Over the last few days and in preparation for the May 3, 2023, preliminary hearing, new facts were revealed that demand further investigation and forensic analysis.” However, they were quick to point out that this ruling “does not absolve Mr. Baldwin of criminal culpability and charges may be refiled.”

As far as Gutierrez-Reed’s case is concerned, personal injury attorney Ted Spaulding told USA Today, “Ultimately, it’s the armorer’s job to ensure that there are no live bullets in the gun,” and went on to minimize Baldwin’s culpability, stating “the actor has the legal right to assume that the armorer did their job.” Thus, the Baldwin couple took an intimate moment — with a photographer present, of course — to rejoice that the legal ordeal is over for them… for now.

The comments started with the nature of the celebratory post.

Being that he’s currently 65 years old and she’s 39, there might be some truth to wanting to be treated like a child.

Then, the conversation turns to another topic; the Baldwins’ behavioral resemblance to Heidi and Spencer.

The comment that is getting the most upvotes at the moment is a play on WISH.

With all the jokes about WISH being the downgrade of merchandise and buyers never getting what they see in the pictures, the joke landed quite well.

In a selfie that shows relief, some observant viewers pick up on a totally different vibe.

The bottom line of how this Baldwin couple selfie is being embraced by the public, is that it’s not.

They are most likely out of the woods on this one, while Gutierrez-Reed will have to stand accountable on her own. How this will pan out for her is anyone’s guess, but the Baldwins will be moving forward with their lives unscathed and have an intimate selfie to commemorate the moment they heard the news.
