Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry’s connection is real — but is it more complicated than it looks?

The two met months ago.

We’ve seen them taking walks, going for dinners, grabbing drinks together — now, word has come in that the spark between Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau is indeed real.

Sources that are familiar with the situation have revealed to People that the pair met months ago and are thinking about exploring their attraction now that they’re both single. They are, however, taking their time with their romance due to their busy schedules. Trudeau recently resigned as the Canadian Prime Minister in an unprecedented move at the top of the year, and Perry, on the other hand, is on a world tour, so the time they would have to see each other is understandably limited.

Still, they were seen making the most of the time they did have. Trudeau is said to be a very big music fan, and he even released a video with his son, Canadian rapper Xav, where the two sit side by side reacting to his music. The love of music is obviously something he shares in common with Katy Perry, so it was no surprise that during their week together, Trudeau also made sure to attend her show.

The source went on to share that balancing their co-parenting lifestyles will be key to whether the two can manage to convert the interest in each other into something more stable. Trudeau has 3 teenage children, and Katy Perry shares a daughter with Orlando Bloom that was born in 2020.

Perry’s now well-documented breakup with Orlando Bloom, which was reportedly caused by her music not being well received and her fallout with the infamous space trip that was sponsored by Jeff Bezos, seems to be well behind her. They are now just focused on raising their daughter Daisy, and reportedly splitting their duties in half, so that will also play a part if this relationship were ever to keep growing.

Justin, on the other hand, is still very much an active member of the Canadian political landscape, so he will have to stay rooted in his home country and reportedly try to figure out their long-distance relationship. Even in the early stages of their dating, Trudeau reportedly still refrained from putting on any PDA display, knowing that a figure like himself will always have cameras on him. The two also went to dine with Chef Danny Smiles, and as is usually the case with high-profile figures, they went to the kitchen to personally thank the staff for treating them well.

And even though Trudeau’s love for music has been well established, and the fact that he was even at Katy Perry’s concert singing along to some of her hits, apparently that’s not the only thing the two have in common. The two are apparently both idealists who want to see the world a better place and believe in taking action to ensure that happens. So hey, it seems this is something real that’s developing here. But the logistics seem to be complicated. Although, if Perry can make it to space, what’s a couple of flights to Canada in comparison?

We wish the two (potential) lovebirds well.
