King Charles’ can finally end his life’s biggest controversy, but Prince William is destined to defeat his father

It looks like King Charles is within arms reach of bridging the rift between him and his youngest son, Prince Harry. But before we see the royals reunite once again there is one very significant obstacle that stands in the way: Prince William.

According to a royal commentator, William is still on the fence when it comes to forgiveness, particularly forgiveness towards Meghan Markle. His reluctance to forget about the past could end up stalling the current peace talks that have been going on between the two sides.

William is going to be a problem for Charles

Speaking to GBNews royal correspondent Charlie Rae told the outlet that the potential reconciliation plan had “flies in the ointment.” Rae predicted that Markle would be a major point of contention which could threaten the temporary peace. While representatives of both Harry and Charles’ side met last week for preliminary talks surrounding a potential reconciliation, so far it doesn’t look like William’s on board.

The future king reportedly doesn’t even talk about his younger brother anymore, however, it seems William places a lot of the blame for the royal rift on Meghan, she is the target of his scorn more than Harry is.

“Of all the people in all this, [William] is the one who feels, in my view, most hurt by what has happened between him and his brother, and there’s only one person that he is blaming, and that is Meghan.”

It looks like the Duke of Sussex is finally understanding that he may have to cut his wife out of preliminary talks if he is to make any headway with his family. But it remains to be seen whether that will be enough to convince William to open up a line of communication between him and his brother.

Are Meghan’s actions unforgivable?

While King Charles might be willing to finally put the past in the rear view mirror, William is still seemingly hurt by what Meghan and Harry have done. Recent revelations from the Queen’s cousin have given the public an entirely new perspective as we learned that Meghan and Harry deeply upset the ailing monarch in her final years.

Rae explains, “the Queen was deeply, deeply upset by Harry and Meghan, and particularly Harry.” The Prince was allegedly rude to his grandmother for 10 minutes which caused a great deal of upset for the late Queen, and Rae points out this all happened while “her dearly beloved husband was at the time dying.”

When asked whether he thought the royal family could move forward as a whole with reconciliation he claimed that there was a long way to go but that he was of the belief “that this can never be healed, and I still believe that Meghan will never return to this country.” Well that’s a rather damning prediction, only time will tell whether or not he’s correct in his assumption.
