Nick Cannon wants Taylor Swift to be his next baby mama and Swifties aren’t having it

Oh no, it's the 13 again.

The number 13 might be Taylor Swift‘s lucky charm, but that doesn’t mean Nick Cannon should be going around saying he’d like her to be the mother of his 13th baby.

After the news broke that Taylor Swift and her boyfriend of six years, British actor Joe Alwyn had apparently called it quits, it was open season for everyone to comment on the “Anti-hero” singer’s dating life, as if it was 2015 all over again. One of the culprits was Nick Cannon, famous baby-haver, who said he would “absolutely” be into having his 13th child with Swift.

In his defense, the topic was first broached by Howard Stern when Cannon attended his show on Monday. The host pressured the comedian to name one female celebrity with whom he would be happy to have another child, and when he refused, Stern brought up Swift.

“Absolutely, I’m in! Let’s go,” Cannon joked, enthusiastically adding, “That’s the one.” The 42-year-old, who has 12 children from six different women, complimented Swift for being “an amazing songwriter,” and allowing herself to be so vulnerable with her fans. He went on to affirm the singer would “relate to him,” considering how long they have both been in the entertainment business and how they have both had to deal with dating “a lot of people” in the public eye.

Cannon and Stern, two grown men, discussing Taylor Swift’s dating life as well as her possibly having someone’s baby in her absence might sound like a joke to them, but fans of the musician don’t really agree. Reactions to Cannon’s statements quickly flooded social media, with Swifties telling the TV host and rapper to “Stay away from her,” and “Get a job.”

Cannon’s behavior was described as “creepy, vile, and disturbing” by one fan, while another commented on the “casual misogyny” of the interaction.

It’s been an intense week for both Taylor Swift and her fans as reports about her split from Alwyn started to emerge. Neither Swift nor Alwyn has commented on the supposed break-up yet, but the pop star was seen out and about in New York on Monday evening, after having dinner with her friends. Alwyn is currently filming in Budapest.
