Revenge served cold as Cardi B’s victim who got assaulted fires back hard

When 'splash me' becomes assault and battery.

A woman has filed a lawsuit against rapper Cardi B for assault and battery following an incident that happened at a Las Vegas performance. The incident, which took place at Drai’s Beachclub, involved the rapper allegedly throwing a microphone at the woman during her show.

Based on reports, the woman, who is identified as Jane Doe in the legal documents, claims that the incident started when Cardi B asked the audience to throw water at her to help cool her off during the performance. Several people in the crowd responded to this request.

According to Page Six, the woman says the rapper’s request backfired spectacularly when Cardi B responded by throwing her microphone at her after she followed the artist’s instructions to splash water. The incident was caught on video and quickly went viral on social media platforms.

What happened before and after the microphone incident

Before the confrontation, Cardi B was recorded encouraging the crowd to ‘splash water in her p–y,’ with the DJ also encouraging fans to ‘splash her down.’ The rapper’s Las Vegas controversies that weekend involved multiple incidents with both audience members and venue staff. The rapper later explained that she had specifically asked for the water to be splashed on a certain part of her body, not her face.

The microphone involved in the incident later gained significant attention when it was sold at auction for $99,000. The plaintiff mentions in her lawsuit that the sale of the microphone has added to her emotional distress. At the time of the incident, no charges were filed against the rapper, and Cardi B was later cleared of all battery charges by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.

Security personnel removed the woman from the venue after the microphone was thrown. Cardi B later addressed the situation, expressing her desire not to be perceived as “that ghetto b–” and clarifying her original request to the audience.

The lawsuit comes at a time when Cardi B has been in the news for other reasons, including her recent divorce from rapper Offset in August 2024. Representatives for Cardi B have not yet responded to requests for comment regarding the lawsuit. The case is currently pending, and the amount of damages being sought by the plaintiff has not been disclosed in the available reports.
