Royal experts claim there’s ‘lingering resentment’ between Prince Harry and William as the Duke of Sussex now leads ‘meaningless life’

Both William and Harry's lives have diverged in major ways.

Prince Harry has reportedly grown increasingly frustrated with the lack of communication coming from his royal relatives, particularly his brother, Prince William. While the Duke of Sussex has publicly called for reconciliation it’s apparently been total radio silence from the elder sibling.

Harry supposedly hasn’t heard a peep from William and it’s getting to him. In fact, royal experts have suggested that the main reason for the rift between the two brothers now is because of the silence from William’s side. Royal commentator and podcast host Amanda Matta shared her thoughts on the situation with Fox News Digital.

“At this point, Harry’s resentment towards William seems less about the Sussexes’ actual exit in 2020 and more about what came after: the silence, the distance, and the sense that the family iced them out because they dared to speak up.”

Matta believes the estrangement from Prince Harry’s side comes from a quiet frustration with his brother and the rest of the family who “won’t engage in good faith with the points that Harry has raised, even though he’s done so publicly.”

Does William still hold a “lingering resentment” towards Harry?

Matta’s comments come after a royal insider told USWeekly that there was a lingering resentment between the two brothers. Harry’s absence has left William feeling deserted by his brother according to the insider. “The whole idea was for Harry to work hand-in-hand with William and to divide and conquer during William’s monarchy.” Harry’s decision to turn his back on the Royal family has left William no choice but to move on without him.

So far William has stuck to his guns, the Prince has allegedly avoided speaking about his brother, even behind closed doors. However, he will have to see his brother again in the future, one way or another.

Another royal expert, Hilary Fordwich went on to claim that Harry still harbored resentment towards his brother as evidenced by his recent comments where “he has whined about both the estrangement and his sense of being unsupported.” Fordwich claims that Harry is stuck in the past and he has “fallen into” a “meaningless life” while William has moved forward without his brother.

However, Amanda Matta disagrees with Fordwich as she claims that Harry doesn’t regret leaving the royal family but that his frustration stems from the fact “that no one has ever stepped outside the palace machine to reach out.”

It seems as though both siblings have their reasons for holding on to their resentment. While William reportedly feels betrayed by Harry for leaving, Harry feels as though his brother has betrayed him by moving forward without him. While he may have chosen to leave it seems the Duke of Sussex still feels hurt by the apparent lack of concern from his father and his brother in particular.
