Scott Wolf has added strife to his already contentious divorce from Kelley Wolf by filing a restraining order on her.
Scott Wolf rose to fame in his role as Bailey Salinger in Party of Five in the 1990s. He also had a seminal role in Everwood later on in his career. Different generations know him for different things. But recently, he had slowed down his onscreen career and moved to raise his family in Utah, popping up in the occasional Hallmark Christmas movie.
The Party of Five star’s relatively quiet home life was, however, recently hit with a rocky update on Instagram just this month when Kelley announced a sad update in their over 20-year relationship that bore them 3 children. Kelley announced the “dissolution of their marriage,” while hinting that their divorce might be acrimonious by saying she basically did everything she could with integrity and patience.
Very soon afterward, Kelley was put on an involuntary 5150 hold at a hospital in Utah. She updated her fans through Instagram again, clarifying that she was not on any drugs nor did she have any mental illnesses. She assured her followers that she will not be quiet any longer. The hold was actually initiated by a friend who called 911 to dispatch mental health help for Kelley, who had reportedly been not well and trying to avoid seeking help. Per People, Kelley’s friend told the 911 dispatcher, “I do not think she will cooperate. I mean, we’ve been trying to get her to get some help for weeks to months.”
Scott Wolf has remained silent on the drama and has simply been posting pictures of him and their children on social media. Page Six reports that although her friends were the ones who initiated the 5150 hold in the first place, they thought the restraining order was a step too far. One of Kelley’s friends told the publication, “It’s so sad for the kids. Kelley is ready to fight like hell for her children.”
Breakups, regardless of how harmonious they start out, tend to bring out the biggest disagreements between the people who were together. Even Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry are reportedly fighting about who gets to attend Jeff Bezos’ contentious wedding — so there’s nothing unique about Kelley and Scott. But it is significantly more serious — the authorities are involved, and Kelley can no longer see her children freely. This is the worst-case scenario in such a situation.
Scott’s brother Michael reportedly also provided further declaration for the authorities regarding the restraining order, so there’s seemingly at least a sense that the authorities have their reasons to come to their conclusions. Again, in such situations — such as DDG and Halle Bailey — there’s usually a back and forth, with two parties claiming the other person is making the situation sound more serious than it actually is. But the court typically relies on documentation and eyewitness testimony to determine a path forward, so additional family input is considered valid grounds.
Hopefully, the two can find a way to eventually amicably solve their differences.
