Tim Drake Is Alive

Recommended Videos

In the biggest shock to absolutely no one, Batman discovers that his former partner Tim Drake is not dead (which we all knew, anyway). While the Dark Knight has hinted at the possibility of it in the past, this is the first time someone has affirmed it to him. Man, the look in his eyes when Ascalon tells him that Tim is alive is a real tearjerker. This issue made us cry a lot, okay!

Undoubtedly, this sets off the next major storyline in Detective Comics and we bet that it’ll have a lot to do with the mysterious Mr. Oz, too. While “The Oz Effect” storyline will be explored in Action Comics #987, which is set for release on September 13, we think Tim might be freed before then. Do yourself a favor, though, and don’t Google this event, because there are already a couple of possible spoilers out there on the net.

It’ll be good to have Tim back in the fold, though, because he’s such a valued member of the Bat Family. However, this short sabbatical hasn’t been all bad, as it has allowed others to shine in his absence. The question is, how will his reappearance impact Stephanie Brown, who is now no longer a part of the Bat clan? Interesting times ahead.
