Latest ‘The Flash’ poster leaves Snyderverse fans seeing the ghost of Henry Cavill’s Superman

Neither Cavill nor his fans can seem to catch a break.

The latest poster for Warner Bros.’s upcoming superhero film, The Flash, has some Reddit users experiencing a bit of deja vu after several eagle-eyed fans noticed the similarity to a certain Henry Cavill’s Superman.

While some weren’t as impressed, even one critic noted that they didn’t believe the stoic pose wasn’t anything to fuss over, claiming to have seen other variations outside of the DC Extended Universe. Nonetheless, many continued to fawn over the photo of disgraced actor Ezra Miller striking a similar pose to that of Cavill.

Fans had hoped to catch another glimpse of Cavill after he made a cameo appearance in the post-credits scene of Black Adam, just before shooting a cameo for The Flash following half a decade hiatus. Not to mention a grand announcement of his return after leaving The Witcher

However, as we all know by now, DC co-CEO James Gunn had other plans after axing both the actor and Dwayne Johnson, for that matter, from the itinerary.

Other updates include a purported lengthy run time. According to insider KC Walsh, the upcoming DC film will be roughly two and a half hours long, making it the fourth longest DCEU movie, coming in one minute behind 2020’s Wonder Woman 1984.

The Flash hits Amazon’s Prime Video on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.
