As you may recall, a few weeks back, we discussed how Cable will be joining a future iteration of the Guardians of the Galaxy, a team that boasts quite the eclectic lineup. Aside from the grizzled time traveler, this ragtag group will consist of somebody that’s a cross between Rocket and Groot, a mysterious figure resembling Captain Marvel who happens to be holding Captain America’s shield, and – get this – Juggerduck.

Yep, that last one is exactly what it sounds like, and that’s Howard the Duck bestowed with the powers of Juggernaut. Thanks to the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak, he’s now able to throw his weight around like never before, thus following in the footsteps of one of the X-Men’s most brutish nemeses.

Reigniting the conversation over on Twitter was that of series writer Donny Cates, who shared some concept art and engaged in conversation with readers. Of course, it’s expected that many of those very same people add this ambitious title to their respective pull lists.

Let’s also not forget what Cates told ComicBook.com about the fun that comes with working on the series:

Cosmic Ghost Rider is such a blast to work on. It’s honestly pretty overwhelming how much the Marvel fans have embraced this crazy character, and I’m having so much fun continuing the Rider’s insane story! If you thought ‘Thanos Wins’ was wild…you just wait to see what we have planned for everyone’s new favorite space lunatic!”

Cosmic Ghost Rider #3 arrives in comic shops this September.
