Superman To Get New Costume This Spring

Since DC kicked off Rebirth last June, a clear highlight has been that of the Superman family of books. Much to the delight of many fans, the pre-Flashpoint Man of Steel was reintegrated into current continuity, bringing a sense of optimism and familiarity that drew back lapsed readers. Not only that, a new domestic element was introduced with him and Lois Lane now raising their son, Jon, who has since emerged as the new Superboy.

Not only that, but a new domestic element was introduced with him and Lois Lane now raising their son, Jon, who has since emerged as the new Superboy.

Now, fans have one more thing to look forward to this spring when Big Blue gets yet another new suit. Sure, the speedo is still missing, but you’ll find this look to be a bit more streamlined than the other costumes he’s worn over the past five years. And while I must admit that it’s pretty cool, I’m going to miss the blue boots.

As of now, it remains unknown as to how the events of March’s “Superman Reborn” crossover affect Clark’s fashion decision, but you can study the solicits for both Superman #20 and Action Comics #977, which can be found below, and formulate your own theories:
