We’re all familiar with superhero teams such as the Avengers, Justice League, X-Men and Teen Titans, but some of the coolest moments to come by in the comic book medium happen to be when those other than the usual suspects join forces. Such looks to be the case with the brand new series US Avengers.
Boasting an eclectic lineup of Squirrel Girl, Red Hulk, Pod, Cannonball, Golden Skull, Iron Patriot and a very different Captain America, this new title brought to us by the creative team of writer Al Ewing and artist Paco Medina looks to deliver something that True Believers who stray from the beaten path will enjoy immensely.
Superhero teams with a patriotic slant are nothing new and we can’t help but think of the Thunderbolts or Geoff Johns’ reinterpretation of the Justice League of America as being the “World’s Most Dangerous” during the New 52 days at first glance, but we have a sneaking suspicion this will be something all its own.
