Prior to today’s announcement all we knew about the status of Anarchy Reigns was that Platinum Games had completely wrapped up development last May. In June, Sega surprised both the developer and would-be fans when they announced that the online brawler’s Western release was delayed for… reasons, and that it would launch in Japan as scheduled on July 5th.

We may never fully know why Sega decided to make Anarchy Reigns take such a strange path to its Western release, but at least we know that it will complete the journey. All that remains now is to see if the fans are willing to put their money where they mouths are and buy the game.
